*The Uncovering* is a detective mystery game.Set against the backdrop of modern 21st-century urban life, you play as the detective Sylva, delving deep into a series of baffling cases.

The game employs a narrative-driven approach with guided progression; all actions take place within an integrated main interface, where clues are clearly displayed on the right, categorized into three sections: Characters, Evidence, and Testimonies.

You will converse with each suspect, covering various aspects of the case. Through follow-up questions and the presentation of evidence, you can unlock new topics and expose the secrets hidden within their minds.

As you uncover location-related clues during conversations, the list of available scenes expands. You can then visit these locations to investigate, speak with key figures, and gather further clues and testimonies. Different cases feature unique "assistants" who help you delve deeper into the details of the evidence.

Once you have gathered sufficient information, you must cross-reference clues with suspect testimonies; by selecting the appropriate evidence from the right-hand panel, you can challenge suspicious statements.

You will navigate between the perspectives of various individuals, piecing together scattered clues and untangling complex webs of relationships. Layer by layer, you will unravel the knots of lies and obsessions until the truth finally emerges from the story.

Case 1: The Masque of the Red Death – Story Synopsis

It's Halloween season, and the city's famous amusement park has launched a thrilling haunted house attraction. Your thrill‑seeking yet easily scared sister insists on dragging you along for an immersive experience. The show leaves a deep impression on you—but when you want to go for a second round, you find that the performance has been suspended. It turns out one of the actors has suddenly disappeared. Soon, his body is discovered at the performance site…

The first chapter involves around six suspects, with a total playtime of roughly three hours.
