Miksi Early Access?

The core shop management and collecting loop is already playable, but Grombo Card Shop Tycoon has several interconnected systems that benefit greatly from player feedback.

Early Access will help us improve progression, balancing, the in-game economy, shop customisation, customer behaviour, and the balance between active play and background progression. It also gives us the opportunity to build future content around what players enjoy most.

- Tournaments & promo cards: Host tournaments, hand out prizes, and earn exclusive promo cards. Set 07 and progression up to level 90.
- Gallery & exhibitions: Build your gallery, welcome visitors, and take on collecting challenges. Set 08 and progression up to level 100, as a target on the road to version 1.0.

The Early Access release is planned to include the complete core gameplay loop of buying stock, opening packs, collecting cards, selling singles, restocking products, serving customers, and expanding the business.

Planned launch content includes:

- 60 shop levels
- Four sets containing 170 collectible cards
- Three store locations
- Free furniture placement and shop customisation
- Shiny cards, a premium themed set, and extremely rare Godpacks
- Grooble Maps customer reviews
- Daily requests and themed days
- Fullscreen and compact desktop modes
- Steam Cloud support
- 8 languages: Spanish, English, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Yes. We plan to offer the game at a lower price during Early Access and increase the price when it reaches version 1.0 to reflect the additional content and polish.

We will collect feedback through the Steam Community discussions, player reviews, social media, and our Discord community.

We are particularly interested in feedback about progression, pricing and economy balance, shop customisation, customer behaviour, card collecting, and the balance between active management and automation. We will also share development updates and use player feedback to help prioritise improvements and future content.

Open packs, hunt rare Grombos, set prices, and design your store.

Buy boxes, tear open packs, and discover an ever-growing collection of absurd Grombos.

Keep your favourites, display valuable singles, or sell them to fund your next terrible financial decision.

Look out for:

  • Rare shiny cards

  • Special premium sets

  • Extremely rare Godpacks

  • A Grombodex to complete

Some packs will make you rich. Others will contain yet another copy of the Grombo you already own seventeen times.

BUILD THE SHOP YOUR WAY

Start with a cramped little store and work your way towards larger locations with more room, more customers, and considerably more things to worry about.

Buy furniture and place it wherever you want. Arrange shelves, showcases, tables, decorations, and products to create a shop that feels like yours.

There is no single perfect layout. Build an efficient card-selling machine, a cosy collector's paradise, or a complete retail disaster.

RUN A SUSPICIOUSLY FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS

Running a card shop involves more than opening everything yourself.

  • Order packs, boxes, and accessories

  • Restock shelves before customers complain

  • Set prices for the cards in your showcases

  • Sell unwanted cards in bulk

  • Balance your profits with your own collection

  • Complete requests and deal with themed days

The cards you desperately want to keep are usually the ones worth the most money. Funny how that works.

CUSTOMERS HAVE OPINIONS

Customers visit your store to browse, buy products, open packs, and spend time in the shop.

Their experiences can become reviews on Grooble Maps. Stock, prices, and the state of your business all influence what people think of the store.

Try to earn glowing reviews. Or proudly become the worst-rated card shop in the neighbourhood.

UPGRADE, AUTOMATE, AND GROW YOUR BUSINESS

Invest your profits in the upgrade tree and automate part of the work to keep expanding your business. Every upgrade gives you another reason to open a pack.

You can also use a compact window to keep the shop running in a corner of your desktop while you do other things.

It may not always be good business.

But there will be Grombos.
