What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Surf is all about feel, and feel gets better with lots of players on the ramps. The core of Loaf Surf is in place and playable today: the movement, timed runs, online lobbies and spectating all work. Early Access lets us tune the physics, course difficulty and new features together with the people actually surfing, instead of guessing alone.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About six months. We will leave Early Access when the planned content is in and the game feels finished rather than on a fixed date, and we will post progress in Steam announcements along the way.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add:
- More courses across every difficulty
- More surfers and accessories
- Global leaderboards for every course
- Steam Achievements, and Steam Cloud for your settings
- More polish on visuals, sound and menus

Player feedback decides the order, and plans may change along the way.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable: complete surf movement at 100 tick, courses from beginner to expert, timed runs with checkpoint splits, online Steam lobbies for up to 16 players, spectator cameras, accessories to mix and match, offline practice and full key rebinding. The game is English only and runs on Windows. Expect changes to movement tuning and courses, the occasional bug, and best times that reset when a course is reworked.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussions and our Discord: we read every bug report and suggestion. New courses and big physics changes go to a public beta branch first so surfers can test them before they go live, and every update comes with patch notes in Steam announcements.”

About This Game

Surf. Fast. Then faster.

Surf is a movement genre born from a physics quirk: on a ramp too steep to stand on, you slide, and holding the right strafe turns gravity into speed. Bread Surf rebuilds it from scratch for everyone, from first-timers to players who have surfed for years. Pick a surfer, dress it up, and carve down ramps as fast as you can.

Real surf physics

 • Proper air strafing: friction, ground and air acceleration and collide-and-slide that behave exactly the way surfers expect.

 • 100-tick physics, so every strafe lands the moment you make it.

 • Classic sensitivity and FOV scales, so your muscle memory carries straight over.

 • Auto bunny hop is on by default; switch it off in Settings if you are a purist.

 • Speed you can feel: the field of view widens, the camera rolls into turns, wind picks up and streaks fly past.

Every run against the clock

Courses range from gentle beginner lines to expert runs that punish every mistake. The timer starts the moment you leave the start zone, checkpoints record your splits, a fall sends you back, and one key restarts the run.

Surf with friends

 • Host a Steam lobby for up to 16 players, browse open lobbies, or invite friends through the Steam overlay. No port forwarding: everything runs over Steam's relay network.

 • Join a run already in progress.

 • Everyone's best time on the scoreboard, plus text chat.

 • Spectate three ways: orbit a friend, watch through their eyes with the full speed effects, or fly a free camera.

Dress your surfer

Pick a surfer and mix and match hats, glasses and trails, even mid-run. Every surfer shares the same hitbox, so style never costs you time.
