Was die Entwickler zu sagen haben:

Wozu Early Access?

„I am making Slaymeji on my own. The game currently has 50 hunters and 52 weapons. It also has 80 passive items. I can test a lot, but I cannot cover every build they create by myself.

Early Access gives me real runs to learn from. I need to see which builds grow too quickly and which weapons people avoid. I also need to know where the difficulty stops being fun.

The desktop companion needs the same kind of feedback. It is an unusual part of the game. I want to shape it around how people actually use it each day.

Wie lange wird dieses Spiel ungefähr den Early Access-Status haben?

„I expect Early Access to last about four to five months. My current target for 1.0 is the end of 2026 or the start of 2027.

That estimate is based on the work left in the current scope. Bosses and elites still need their own behavior. More wave types and skill tree branches are planned. Cosmetics and the wider balance pass also need to be finished. If player feedback shows that the game needs more time, I will extend the schedule.

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The core run already works from start to finish. Before 1.0, I plan to add more depth and finish the systems that are still rough.

Current plans include:

- Give every boss and elite its own fight. This includes multi-phase bosses and abilities such as charges, spread shots and burning trails
- Add a second boss
- Add elite waves, horde waves and kill-goal waves
- Add loot crates and temporary buffs during runs
- Add more biomes with their own enemies, lighting and music
- Finish the remaining skill tree branches. One of four is implemented now
- Add a cosmetic system so cosmetic currency can be spent
- Add onboarding for new players
- Expand language support
- Keep adjusting the shop economy, Danger Levels and item curves with real play data

These are plans rather than fixed promises. Their order may change as I learn what players care about most.“

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„Slaymeji can be played from the first wave to the end of a run today.

The Early Access build includes:

- 25 waves and optional Endless Mode across six Danger Levels
- 50 playable hunters. Four are available from the start. The rest are unlocked through challenges and permanent currency
- 52 weapons with up to eight equipped at once. Weapons can be combined into higher tiers or recycled. Matching weapon classes also grant set bonuses
- 80 passive items with evolution recipes
- 30 upgrade cards across five rarity tiers
- A shop between waves with reroll and lock options
- Permanent stat upgrades and the first skill tree branch
- Automatic Fire, Manual Fire and Auto Mode
- Keyboard, mouse and controller support
- A draggable desktop companion with moods and dialogue
- Desktop to-do rewards and a movable game window
- Steam achievements, stats and Cloud saves
- English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Turkish interfaces

There are still rough edges. Please keep these in mind before buying:

- Bosses and elites currently rely more on stats than on distinct abilities with clear tells
- One biome is in rotation. The others are still being integrated
- Three of the four skill tree branches are not implemented
- Cosmetic currency can be earned but cannot be spent yet
- There is no tutorial yet
- The balance has not been tested at scale

Wird dieses Spiel während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„Yes. Slaymeji will cost less when it enters Early Access. I plan to raise the price as major content is added. I expect the 1.0 price to be the highest.

Buying the game during Early Access includes every update through 1.0 at no extra cost.

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„I will read player feedback through the Steam Community Hub and discussion boards.

I plan to:

- Publish a public roadmap and update it when priorities change
- Share important balance changes before they go live
- Use bug reports and run feedback to decide what needs attention first
- Credit player feedback in patch notes when it leads to a change
- Ask what players want from the desktop companion as it grows

Balance and quality-of-life feedback will carry the most weight. If nobody picks a hunter or weapon, I want to understand why.

FIGHT OR LET AUTO MODE TAKE OVER

Slaymeji: Roguelite Desktop Survivor is a 2D fantasy bullet heaven that continues after the run. In the arena, you build a ring of weapons and fight through 25 waves. When you leave, your hunter stays on your desktop as a companion.

Your weapons attack automatically. You handle movement, dashes and dodges. Turn on Manual Fire when you want to aim each attack yourself. If you would rather watch the build work, Auto Mode can run the battle for you.

Clear Wave 25 to finish the main run. If the build still has life in it, carry on in Endless Mode and see where it finally breaks.

TAKE THE CONTROLS WHEN YOU WANT THEM

Use direct movement controls or click where you want to go. Dash out of closing gaps. Time your dodge for a brief moment of invulnerability.

Auto Mode handles movement and upgrade choices on its own. It stays away from map edges and looks for health when wounded. It can also use emergency dodges when the arena gets crowded. Switch modes whenever you feel like taking control again.

BUILD A DEADLY RING

Choose from 50 playable hunters. Four are available from the start. Each hunter has different stats, weapon limits and a starting loadout. The rest are unlocked through challenges and permanent currency.

Pick from 52 melee, ranged, elemental and area weapons. Equip up to eight at once and watch them form a ring around your hunter.

The shop opens between waves. Buy weapons and stat upgrades. Reroll the stock or lock something for the next visit. Combine matching weapons into higher tiers. Recycle anything you no longer need.

Choose from 80 passive items and discover evolution recipes. Pick from 30 upgrade cards across five rarity tiers. You can push familiar stats or add area attacks that trigger automatically and in response to hits.

WHEN WAVE 25 IS NOT ENOUGH

New enemies enter the arena as the run goes on. Melee attackers close in. Ranged enemies force you to move. Elemental threats deny space while explosive creatures punish a bad position.

Break objects for resources and healing before the swarm reaches you. Raise the stakes through six Danger Levels. Each one gives enemies more health and damage.

After Wave 25, you can end the run or enter Endless Mode. Enemy strength and spawn pressure keep rising until your build gives out.

THE RUN ENDS. YOUR HUNTER STAYS.

Your selected hunter becomes a draggable desktop companion. They follow your cursor and remember where you left them. Your interactions change their mood.

Tap your companion for jokes and riddles. They will cheer when you finish a task and remind you when it may be time for a break.

You can also play inside a movable and resizable desktop window. Switch to companion mode during a run to pause the action. Return when you are ready and continue from the same point.

YOUR TO-DO LIST HAS REWARDS

Create colorful to-do notes and place them around your desktop. Check them off when the real work is done.

Your companion celebrates completed tasks and gives you permanent in-game currency. Combine those rewards with currency earned from challenges to unlock more hunters.
