About This Game

A galaxy that doesn't wait for you

A sprawling simulation that runs behind the scenes - tens of thousands of spaceships, hundreds of stations, many factions.

Start with a single spaceship. What you build from it is up to you.

You are one captain among thousands. Every ship you come across is flown by a simulated NPC who earns rank, holds grudges, takes their own actions and can be killed. Factions build, trade, scheme, and go to war across The Sphere, whether you are near or far.

Intel is physical

No one sees the full picture. Factions send forth scouts, but they cannot be everywhere. News of a distant battle takes time to arrive. Kill a pilot, and whether anyone holds it against you depends on whether news reaches their allies.

Every ship is a person

Pilots are persistent NPCs, not respawning enemies. They level, earn ranks and nicknames, remember who shot them, send you mail, and sometimes fly alongside you.

Deep spaceship combat mechanics

Finetune your favorite ship, build templates for your shipyards and manage entire fleets.

Ships are fully modular, built from parts, with many customizable module slots. Parts truly break off in combat, and your ship's damage is visibly felt, not just an HP bar. Manage your ship's energy and heat - run cold and quiet to stay off enemy sensors, or run hot for thrust and pay for it in shields.

Powerful economy engine

Commodities flow from ore to microprocessors through real factories with real inputs. Prices move when miners strike a rich belt or war closes a trade lane. He who controls the trade controls the universe.

From one ship to a flag of your own

  • Fly, dock, trade, refit, and take contracts - hauling, escort, recon, bounties

  • Analyze and mine asteroids

  • Tow wrecks home and restore them into flyable ships

  • Hire pilots and command fleets with standing orders

  • Commission new ships at shipyards

  • Build your own stations module by module

  • Sign treaties, declare boycotts, or start a war you intend to finish

Many mighty powers, one fraying peace

Bureaucratic federations, mighty empires, alliances united for a cause, merchant guilds, pirate clans - each side has something to win or lose. Study the war before you pick a side in it.
