What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“FrontierCraft arrives whole — the full world, the frontier, the long race, and the end that takes it all. But a world this alive can only be balanced by living in it. Early Access is where real players test every edge: how soon the ore runs dry, how long a world should last, what a fair fight feels like, where the gold pools and where it breaks. We're not asking you to wait for the game. We're asking you to help us tune the one that's already here.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 18–24 months of balancing, hardening, scaling, and continued visual polish toward full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access is the foundation — full release builds on it. More content across the board: new building blocks and decoration, deeper crafting, more skills and ways to specialize, and new systems on top of the core loop. Alongside that, the balancing work only real players make possible — economy and combat tuning, pacing, larger worlds, and a smoother experience throughout.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The whole game is playable, start to finish: mining and the economy, crafting and combat, clans, territory, and siege, destructible block-based terrain, and the complete world cycle. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will increase when FrontierCraft leaves Early Access — buying in now gets you the lower price and a hand in shaping the balance. And it will never be pay-to-win. Anything we ever sell is cosmetic only.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community shapes FrontierCraft directly. Because every world is a live, multiplayer experiment, we watch closely how players actually build economies, wage wars, and race the frontier — and we use that to tune the game's core balance: how fast the ore runs out, how long a world should last, how combat and trade feel, and where prices settle or break.

Concretely, here's how players influence development:
• Balance and tuning — server data and player feedback drive how we adjust the economy, combat, world lifespan, and pacing between updates.
• Feature priorities — we share our ideas and let player feedback help decide what we build next, from new content to quality-of-life changes.
• Bug reports and fixes — issues raised by players go straight into our fix queue.

We gather this through our Discord community (the fastest way to reach us and the main hub for feedback and discussion), where we read suggestions, run polls, and post development updates. Your feedback genuinely steers where the game goes next.”

About This Game

The world is dying.

The only thing keeping it alive is a rare ore buried deep beneath the earth. Every load brought back to the Tree of Life buys the world a little more time.

The problem is that the easy ore never lasts.

As nearby deposits are exhausted, players are forced farther from the center of the world in search of new sources. Settlements become outposts. Outposts become frontier towns. New trade routes emerge. Wars begin over the richest ground. The farther the frontier moves, the more valuable every journey home becomes.

Everything in the world is created by players. The resources you need are scattered across vast distances, making trade, cooperation, and conflict unavoidable. Wealth is earned, territory is fought over, and what gets built can be taken apart again.

But no matter how hard people fight, the world cannot be saved forever.

Eventually the Tree dies and the age comes to an end. A new world is generated, the race begins again, and every player starts equal. Only one thing survives: the record of who contributed most to keeping the old world alive.

Nothing lasts.

How long can you keep the world going?

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Parts of this game were made with the help of generative AI tools. The music and sound effects were created using AI audio generation, then selected, edited, and mixed by us — they ship as fixed assets, not content generated live while you play.

We also used AI-assisted coding tools (such as code autocomplete and programming assistants) during development. Every line that ships was reviewed, tested, and integrated by us; the AI sped up routine work while the design, architecture, and final decisions remained human-led.

The game does not run any AI or collect player data during gameplay.
