About This Game

None of This Is Real—But You Must Piece Together What Truly Happened

Return to the aftermath of the First World War, as Austria-Hungary slowly collapses. Play as an apprentice at a civilian trading post and take charge of its strange little shop. Relive one three-day cycle after another within a fractured memory, until you finally shatter the beautiful lie created by your father and confront a brutal reality shaped by violence, resource monopolies, cults, and gangs.

Ever-Escalating Difficulty and a Story Buried Beneath the Surface

The controls are deliberately simple: click with the mouse, press SPACE to skip, and press ESC to exit. Within the game, you can trade goods, predict market prices, venture outside to purchase supplies—and... banish demons and murder your customers.

Follow news of rising and falling prices, profit from market fluctuations, monitor the condition of both yourself and your shop, and survive 30 punishing days against overwhelming odds.

Every three days, the difficulty of running the shop quietly rises to a new level, while new characters and mechanics begin to emerge. Each change is closely connected to what truly happened in the past. Between Days 28 and 30, you will finally face the conclusion of the story.

Threats You Cannot Ignore

Your first objective is simple: survive for three days by any means necessary.

Do not let the fire go out.
Do not let yourself starve.
Do not allow the demons to shatter your faith.

There are many ways for a run to end: starvation, freezing, the collapse of your faith, being reported for murder, being abandoned, and more. Just as countless ordinary people struggled to survive in 1918, the shopkeeper whose memories you inhabit is surrounded by dangers on every side.

Almost every night, you will fall into a nightmare and confront ghosts from the past. Before they arrive, study the distinct omens that announce each ghost and determine which one is coming. Then drive a golden nail through its face—otherwise, the rest of the night may prove difficult to survive.

A Web of Unsettling Hidden Mechanics

Although your objective is always clear, the game contains a large number of hidden mechanics closely tied to its story. Some are subtly hinted at, while others can only be uncovered through experimentation.

As a result, the game is designed to create frustration and helplessness during a first playthrough. Careful resource management and calm analysis will be essential if you hope to survive.

Certain mechanics are hinted at through fragments known as Truths. Once discovered, these Truths can be reread in your ledger, allowing you to study their words and uncover the meaning behind them.

But who is speaking these Truths?

Yes—there really is someone else, someone real, inside your illusion.

Despite the number of hidden systems, the game progresses through a sequence of three-day cycles. Many mechanics are not even required during the first three days, while others are introduced so gradually that you may not notice them at first. You will have time to understand each system as the story unfolds, keeping the overall learning curve manageable.

Unlock More Characters and Items by Reliving the Past

As you survive deeper into the memory, new guests, items, and beneficial mechanics tied to the story will gradually be unlocked. They will help you endure the increasingly difficult days ahead.

Most guests provide positive effects, so do not be afraid to unlock them.

About the Horror Elements

All of the horror in this game is created through atmosphere, isolation, and the mystery of the night. There are no jumpscares.

Some character portraits may evoke an unsettling sense of psychological horror, but the game does not rely on sudden displays of gore or frightening imagery.
