What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SSN Artemis is a passion project led by a solo developer. I want to get Artemis into the hands of the community and gather as much feedback as possible to make the finalised game as great as it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3-6 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Campaign:
A full story made up of approximately 20 missions over 3 acts, with cinematic interludes. Including fleet engagements, convoy interdiction, submarine duels and land-attack scenarios.

Gameplay:
Additional weaponry and vessels including anti-ship and land-attack missiles, UUVs, and new countermeasures. New intelligence gathering mission-types and standalone scenarios to test your skills.

Presentation:
Deeper immersion with cinematic intermissions, additional music, sound effects and voice acting. Improved 3D assets, particle effects and animations.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version represents the core of SSN Artemis: a submarine simulation built on the real physics of underwater warfare. Take command of a Royal Navy Astute-Class submarine and experience the opening missions of a campaign against Russian's Northern Fleet. Fight for control over the North Atlantic against daunting odds.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will rise as additional content is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would like to gather as much feedback as possible from the community, both to find and fix bugs, and to shape the finalised product. ”

About This Game

Take command of HMS Artemis, a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine, as Britain clashes with the Russian Navy in the North Atlantic.

You must remain undetected beneath the waves, evade hostile aircraft, stalk enemy ships and strike from the shadows. Every contact is uncertain. Every transmission is a risk. Every weapon fired may reveal your position.

The Setting: October 2027.

NATO is fracturing. Europe is weak. Moscow has laid claim to the resources of the Arctic and seeks to control the North Atlantic. An incident between a Russian spy ship and a Royal Navy frigate escalates to open war as Russian's powerful Northern Fleet exposes British weakness. Lacking US support, and with European allies unwilling to risk nuclear escalation, the country faces a brutal choice: accept defeat or fight alone.

SSN: Artemis is a modern submarine warfare simulation built around stealth, sonar, and high-stakes tactical decision-making. Track enemy fleets through the Atlantic, manage incomplete information, and survive in a battlespace where patience and timing matter more than firepower.
