About This Game

**A cozy ranch drifting through space. Strange, hungry critters. Waves of unwelcome guests. Welcome to CosmicCritters.**

You've got a floating patch of land in the middle of the cosmos, a handful of bizarre little creatures, and a whole lot of problems.

Your critters are adorable, endlessly hungry, and — if you treat them right — they'll fill your pockets with stardust. Toss food into the pen. Watch them waddle over and scarf it down. As they digest, they glow brighter and brighter… then pop! A shiny resource crystal drops at their feet. Vacuum it up, spend it on more critters or better gear, and try to last just one more wave.

Because the waves never stop. Strange hostile creatures skitter in from the edges of the ranch, and they're not here to make friends. They're here for your critters. That's where your laser gun comes in.

### 🎮 What You Actually Do

*Feed the herd

Launch food with your Feeder. Hungry critters chase it down. A well-fed critter is a productive critter.

*Collect the goods

Switch to your Vacuum and suck up the resource crystals they drop. Don't let 'em sit too long — they won't last forever.

*Defend the ranch

Switch to your Laser Gun and blast the hostiles before they reach your critters. Scout types are fast. Brute types hit like a truck.

*Hit the shop

When you've got enough stardust, open the shop and buy more critters or upgrade your tools. Quick heads-up: the game doesn't pause when you're shopping. Enemies don't care about your retail therapy.

*Repeat until it all falls apart

There is no "win." Waves keep coming, critters starve if you ignore them, and the run ends when the last critter is gone. Your score is how long you survived and how much you collected.

Feeder, Vacuum, Laser Gun. You can only use one at a time. The skill is knowing when to swap — and doing it fast.

No pause menus here. Wanna buy an upgrade mid-wave? Better click fast.

*Escalating enemy waves

Two enemy types in the beta: quick, fragile Scouts and slow, devastating Brutes. Wave sizes grow over time. The breaks between waves are your only moment to breathe.

*Visual feedback that makes sense

Critters glow as they get closer to producing a resource. Hunger and health bars float overhead. Wave warnings flash on screen. You always know what needs your attention.

*Upgrade your tools

Spend stardust on permanent upgrades: faster feeder cooldown, more laser damage, longer food lifetime. Every run gives you new options.

*Data-driven design

Everything from critter stats to enemy behavior to shop prices lives in editable data assets. The game is built to be tuned, tweaked, and eventually modded.
