Why Early Access?

“We are choosing Early Access because the game is still in active development. While the core experience is already playable, many areas still need improvement, including balance, UI design, visual assets, content variety, and overall polish. Early Access allows us to continue improving the game with feedback from players while making it clear that the current version does not represent the final quality we are aiming for.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the Early Access period to last around 12 months. This may change depending on development progress, player feedback, and the scope of improvements we decide to make.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to improve and expand the game in many areas, including gameplay balance, UI/UX, visual assets, maps, items, enemies, progression, and overall content variety. We may also rework or rebuild certain systems if we believe doing so will improve the final experience. Our overall goal is to make the game deeper, more polished, and more replayable over time.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is already implemented and playable. Players can enter raids, explore maps, fight enemies, collect loot, manage equipment, progress their character, and extract from the battlefield. However, the game is still incomplete, and some systems, content, UI elements, balance, and visual assets are still being improved.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to gradually increase the price as new content, features, improvements, and polish are added during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through player feedback, social media posts, and open communication channels. Players are encouraged to share their thoughts, suggestions, bug reports, and gameplay experiences with us. Community feedback will help us decide which areas need improvement and what kinds of content or features players are most interested in.”

About This Game

Escape from Gridlock is a single-player turn-based pixel-art tactical extraction game. Enter the sealed-off zone, search abandoned areas, gather supplies, fight monsters and hostile units, and extract before the situation falls apart.

Every expedition is a risk-and-reward gamble. Push deeper for better loot, or leave safely with what you already found. Stay too long, make one bad move, or run out of resources, and you may lose everything you brought in.

Combat is grid-based and turn-based. Position carefully, manage limited actions, track your health, hunger, thirst, weapons, ammunition, and equipment, then decide whether to keep scavenging, fight your way through, or get out alive.

Back at base, your loot becomes long-term progress. Complete tasks, stockpile supplies, improve attributes, craft gear, develop facilities, and unlock weapon-based skill trees to prepare for tougher expeditions.
