Why Early Access?

“HKO is being released in Early Access because we want to continue improving the game together with our community. The current version already contains the core gameplay systems, including survival mechanics, building, exploration, trading, combat, and the cooperative game mode "Phantom Runner".

Early Access will allow us to gather player feedback, identify issues across different hardware configurations, balance gameplay systems, and determine which features should receive the highest priority during development.

Our goal is to continue expanding the world of HKO by improving existing systems, refining gameplay, and potentially adding new content based on community feedback while moving toward a complete release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“2 months, we hope to finish HKO no later than August-September. We have to finish the story mode and polish features, the other components are already finished”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to continue improving performance, stability, and overall gameplay quality. We also intend to expand the game's world with additional story content, new areas to explore, and potentially additional content updates if development progresses as planned.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and already includes the core experience of HKO: Advanced Survival.

Current features include:
• Story Mode with the opening chapters and explorable islands.
• Resource gathering, crafting, and survival mechanics.
• Dynamic traders with changing locations and inventories.
• Lootable structures and points of interest.
• Weapon customization and upgrade systems.
• Hostile creatures known as Penitents with advanced behaviors.
• Drone exploration mechanics.
• Cooperative multiplayer mode "Phantom Runner" for up to 4 players.
• Character customization options.
• Steam multiplayer functionality and online sessions.

Some content, areas, features, and additional story chapters are still under development. During Early Access, players may encounter bugs, balancing issues, and systems that continue to evolve over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, later it will be free but with rewards for veteran players. The DLCs will always be paid”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively listen to player suggestions, bug reports, balancing feedback, and feature requests to help guide future updates. Community feedback may influence gameplay improvements, quality-of-life features, balancing decisions, and the prioritization of new content. There will be updates every 2-4 weeks.”

About This Game

HKO: Advanced Survival is an open-world survival experience that combines exploration, construction, resource management, tactical combat, and cooperative multiplayer.

Stranded across a remote archipelago, you must explore dangerous islands, gather resources, build shelters, improve your equipment, and survive against the mysterious creatures known as the Penitents. Discover abandoned facilities, hidden landmarks, roaming traders, and valuable supplies while uncovering the secrets of the islands.

Whether you prefer to build a secure base, customize your weapons, explore with a deployable drone, or venture into hostile territory in search of rare loot, every decision affects your chances of survival.

• Explore multiple islands filled with forests, beaches, rivers, lakes, settlements, and abandoned locations.

• Build and customize structures using a flexible construction system with free placement and grid snapping options.

• Gather resources from the environment, including wood, stone, and valuable supplies.

• Store, organize, and manage your equipment in dedicated weapon and item storage systems.

• Customize and upgrade firearms with attachments, visual modifications, and performance improvements.

• Use drones and map markers to safely scout dangerous areas.

PHANTOM RUNNER

Team up with up to four players in a cooperative survival scenario set within a city overrun by Penitents.

Stranded and cut off from help, your team must search for fuel, engine oil, vehicle parts, and power generators in order to repair a truck and escape before the city consumes you. Cooperation, resource management, and careful planning are essential to survive.

EARLY ACCESS

HKO: Advanced Survival is currently in active development. The initial release includes the core survival experience, multiplayer systems, and the Phantom Runner game mode. Additional islands, content, features, and improvements are planned throughout development based on community feedback.
