About This Demo

A top-down shooter built around PvP combat.

Take a side and play the objective. Steal the enemy flag and run it home, hold the line in team deathmatch, or protect your VIP while hunting theirs. Bots fill out the teams, so a match is always ready.

You don't have to sit up straight at a keyboard to compete. Gridfire plays fully on a controller.

Flying straight at the enemy is how you lose. Gridfire rewards position. Use your secondary weapons to force enemies out of cover. Some walls let fire through in one direction only. Some floors speed you up, others slow you down.

• PLAY NOW drops you straight in — it looks for a game with other players first, and hosts one for you if it cannot find one
• Three modes in rotation: Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch and VIP Escort. Everyone votes at the end of each round on what to play next
• Two maps: Two Forts at 4v4, and the much larger Lost Temple at 6v6
• Two ship frames — Assault and Scout — each with their own stats, weapons and Overcharge ability
• Decibel Drive, if the vote goes that way: fire, move and heal with your voice
• The full tutorial, and a practice arena to experiment in once you have finished it
• Loadout customization and full controller support

• The map editor — build your own arenas and share them with other players
• All five ship frames, each with unique weapons and a different Overcharge ability
