What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Stick Together is our first game, and we'd rather build it with you than for you. We know what this world is supposed to feel like — we've playtested it ourselves — but there's no substitute for hundreds of players finding the bugs, the balance problems, and the moments we'd never think to test for. Early Access lets us tune the systems that matter most — pest escalation, resource pacing, how forgiving or brutal the night defenses should be — based on real feedback instead of guesses. We're a small, bootstrapped studio building our first title, and we want the community involved from here, not just at the finish line.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're planning for roughly 6–12 months in Early Access, though we'll let development — not the calendar — decide when we're ready to launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build centers on the Open Meadow hub and the core loop: crash-land, gather resources to bring the Pod back online, build defenses, and survive night after night against escalating pests. We plan to expand outward from there — opening the Desert, the Dark Forest, and the gated Highlands as full playable zones, not just backdrop. We also plan to deepen the mystery of this planet and what happened here, expand ROOT's role and dialogue, and add more pest types and more reasons for a run to go sideways. We want to grow the story and the island without losing the tone that makes this game this game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At launch into Early Access, Stick Together is fully playable for the first mission: crash-land, find resources to bring the Pod back online, gather resources and build basic defenses to ward off pests, and survive many nights of defense. The initial mystery of the planet begins to unfold through ROOT's log entries.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We're launching Early Access at a fractional cost of the full game's eventual price, and the price will rise as we add content on the way to full launch. Joining early is also the best price you'll see.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord is the heart of this. We're already running an in-fiction Mission Log campaign there — dispatches from ROOT and the crew — and Early Access is where that becomes a two-way conversation. We'll be sharing builds, asking for direct feedback on pacing and pest difficulty, and pulling reaction clips and bug reports straight from the community into our patch notes. If you find a way to break the limb system in a way that makes us laugh, there's a decent chance it ends up staying in the game on purpose.”
