Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MultiScope ATC is built by a two-person team, and we're honest with ourselves about what that means: we don't have the resources of a professional studio, which is exactly why Early Access matters to us. Rather than spending months building features in isolation and guessing what matters, we want real feedback from ATC enthusiasts and flight sim players to guide where we focus our time. Multiscope ATC is built around procedures that are based on real aviation, and we want to sharpen that accuracy together with the community before we consider the game finished. Early Access lets us improve the learning curve and balance, and keep building while players are already playing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Multiscope ATC to stay in Early Access for around 12 months. This could be shorter or longer depending on the feedback we receive and the time needed to work out the remaining features to the level of procedural accuracy we hold ourselves to.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We expect the full version to be a more stable and polished version of what's already here. Our focus during Early Access is on fixing bugs, refining the AI traffic and controllers, improving the tutorial, and smoothing out the voice recognition and procedures based on player feedback, rather than fundamentally changing what the game is. Alongside that, we plan to add further features and more airports. Our goal for the full release is a more reliable, better-tuned version of the simulation you can already play today.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable. It launches with Amsterdam Schiphol (EHAM), with realistic arrival and departure procedures, voice control that recognizes real controller phraseology, multi-sector play where AI controllers work the sectors you don't take, COSYS coordination with your neighbouring sectors, pilots with accents matched to their airline, and a phraseology trainer to practice correct terminology. As a two-person team, we expect there to be bugs and rough edges we haven't caught yet, and Early Access is where we work through those with the community's help.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price gradually as we add new content and features, so the earliest players get the best deal.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're active on Reddit and run our own Discord server, where we share development updates, gather feedback, and let players test early builds. Inside the game itself, players can also submit bug reports and suggestions directly, which we use to help prioritize upcoming updates.”

About This Game

MultiScope Air Traffic Control is a realistic approach radar simulator. Arrivals come in over the STARs, and departures climb out underneath them. Your goal is to turn, climb, descend or slow every aircraft into a safe stream onto the ILS, or hand it over to Area Control, without ever losing separation.

Hold push-to-talk and give your clearance the way you would on a real frequency: "KLM62P, turn left heading 210, descend to 2000 feet, QNH 1010, speed 180 knots, cleared ILS approach runway 18R." The pilot reads it back and flies it.

Voice recognition runs on our own speech model, trained on ATC phraseology. It copes with long transmissions, accents, hesitations and different wording, in ICAO or FAA phrasing, and with corrections when you misspeak. If a pilot misses part of your call, they ask you to say it again. The model runs offline on your graphics card or processor, and nothing you say leaves your PC.

Every instruction also works through the input panels and the keyboard, so voice is optional.

The radar picture updates with every sweep. Each aircraft has a data tag you can move, a trail showing where it has been and an optional speed vector projecting where it is heading. Zoom out to 80 NM to see traffic coming in from far away, or zoom in to fine-tune the spacing on final.

Aircraft fly published routes, holding patterns and ILS approaches, and you can take them off their route with a heading or send them direct to a fix. The scope warns you when two aircraft are getting too close, when one is too close behind heavier traffic, or when one is about to enter airspace that isn't yours. A departure list shows what is about to take off, so you can plan the outbound flow before it reaches your frequency.

Each session starts with its own QNH, wind and ATIS. Pick calm, normal or gusty conditions, or let the game roll them for you; it keeps the wind within the limits of the runways you've chosen. The wind changes with altitude, so aircraft cover ground faster or slower depending on how high they are.

Wind also decides which runways you can use. The runway picker turns orange when a runway is close to its crosswind or tailwind limit and red when it's over. Departures will hold on the ground if there is too much tailwind, and an arrival on final might go around.

Traffic comes from real schedules, with real callsigns, aircraft types and registrations. Real World mode plays a real day at the airport from the time you choose. You can also set the runway combination and the arrivals and departures per hour yourself, anywhere from a quiet afternoon to a full peak. At the end of each session you get a grade from S to F, which adds to your career statistics.

Airspaces are split into sectors, each with its own frequency. Work one approach sector or several at once, and AI controllers handle the rest. You can take over or hand back a sector at any time.

COSYS, our coordination system, lets you work with your neighbours the way real controllers do. Ask for an aircraft on your frequency early, agree transfer levels, handle a go-around from the tower, or borrow a piece of a neighbour's airspace for a long final.

Choose Realistic for proper procedures and handoffs, or Arcade to smooth the rough edges while you learn. Four difficulty presets, from Beginner to Expert, set the details, and you can change any of them yourself.

If you've never spoken on a frequency, start with the phraseology trainer. It gives you radio calls to practise by voice and grades them with the same recogniser the game uses. A searchable reference card and an in-game cheat sheet keep the phrases at hand while you play. Your career runs from Trainee to Area Director, with medals, session reports and lifetime stats.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

MultiScope Air Traffic Control uses two AI models, both running offline on your own PC. Pilot readbacks are spoken in real time by a neural text-to-speech model (Piper). Your spoken clearances are recognised by our own speech recognition model, trained on ATC phraseology; it turns your voice into text and does not generate content. No voice input or player data is sent anywhere or used to train any AI model. Some store page and marketing text and graphics were created with the help of AI tools and reviewed by the developers.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Integrated graphics with Vulkan support (Intel HD Graphics 620 or AMD Radeon Vega 8)
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 4 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: A microphone is needed for voice control. On this hardware, voice control uses the legacy model (Windows speech recognition) with fixed phrasing. The game is fully playable without voice control.
    Recommended:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, 6 GB VRAM
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 4 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: A dedicated graphics card runs the full speech model for the fastest and most accurate voice recognition. Without one, a lighter model runs on the processor. A headset with push-to-talk is recommended.
