YOU ARE THE KING — AND THE SPAWN POINT

Kinghold is a real-time fantasy strategy roguelite about trying to hold a kingdom together while everything demands your attention at once.

You directly control the king: Fight waves of enemies, collect resources, open treasure chests, summon units, place buildings, lay traps, and run to where your strength is needed most.

Cards spawn at your feet: Want to place a tower on the eastern flank? You need to get there first. Need reinforcements at the castle? Turn around and fight your way home.

But be careful, the king and castle share a single pool of health. Venturing out exposes the king and leaves your castle vulnerable, but playing too cautiously will surely allow the enemy to seize control of the map.  

BUILD AN ARMY THAT FIGHTS FOR ITSELF

Spend gold to summon troops, construct towers and houses, place traps, or use support abilities.

Your soldiers fight autonomously, but different units fill different roles: push the frontline, hold defensive positions, guard local territory, or accompany the king.

Your job isn't to micromanage every sword swing, it's to decide where your resources, troops, and attention matter most.

BUILD A DIFFERENT STRATEGY EACH RUN 

Build a starting deck of up to five cards within a limited budget, then expand it as you level up during the run.

Find treasure chests containing run-changing perks, build an economy, strengthen troops, and discover combinations that transform how your kingdom fights. Will you rely on peasants in overwhelming numbers, or use healing potions to support an elite band of veterans?  

EVERY 20 SECONDS, THE KINGDOM CHANGES

Kinghold unfolds in real time, driven by a relentless 20-second interval timer.

When the timer hits zero, enemy waves arrive, income is collected, cards refresh and perks or unit effects trigger.

Do you invest in economy, summon reinforcements, venture out in search of rewards, or spend everything to survive the next wave?

It’s too late. The next interval is already here.

HOLD FOR FIFTY INTERVALS

Survive escalating pressure, defeat the final boss and turn your remaining health into a final score multiplier.

Unlock new starting cards and maps, raise the difficulty, and fight for a place on the global leaderboard.
