Broken Cycle is a dark-fantasy auto-battler RPG that lets you build a team of up to 5 mercenaries and send them to clear dungeons automatically while you engineer their battle tactics and loot, craft, and enchant their gear.

The Stagnation

An ancient blight is devouring the world. Born of powerful corrupted souls, the Stagnation freezes the land in a suffocating torpor where even time seems to halt, draining the life-force from every living thing until mind, body, and soul erode away. Most who succumb become Stagnants, wandering without purpose. The cycle of life has broken, and the mercenaries you command are among the last who can still fight the stillness.

Choose your next dungeon from the world map and fight through waves of enemies, elites, and a corrupted boss in each Region. You are not alone on your journey, others who long to bring back the old world may aid you. The more you speak with them, the more of the world's broken history you discover. At the end of it all, defeat what waits there, and the cycle turns again.

Build Your Team

Recruit heroes from 3 core Classes, each branching into 3 Specializations for 9 distinct playstyles, and field a team of up to 5 in battle. Every spec has its own talent tree and plays differently, from a poison-detonating Assassin to a drone-commanding Engineer, a spirit-possessing Shaman, or a shield-wall Knight. Heroes earn a talent point every 3 levels and can mix talents across specs for deep, personal builds.

Engineer Their Tactics

You don't click abilities mid-fight, you program them in advance. For every hero you build a complete, conditional priority list that becomes their battle AI, with rules like "heal an ally below half health," "execute low-health enemies," or "focus the highest-threat target," drawn from 25+ targeting modes. Position your heroes across Front, Middle, and Back rows and let an aggro system decide who the enemy strikes. Set the tactics, then watch your design play out.

Loot, Craft & Upgrade

Every fight can drop procedurally generated gear with an infinite variety of effects, so no two pieces are ever quite alike. Recruit new heroes and buy gear at the Shop, enchant your equipment at the Enchanter, and craft new gear or modify what you already own at the Forge, then transmute items into new results or recycle unwanted loot into resources, each from its own dedicated tab.
