A roguelite RPG where you get stupidly powerful, fast. Four heroes with nothing in common except a medallion none of them can explain. Explore a world of levels that loop back into each other, build your characters, and run it again, solo or in online co-op for up to 4 players.

About This Game

It Grows

Four heroes, four worlds, and a medallion nobody understands.

A swordswoman in the ruins of a dead world. A mage locked deep in a medieval dungeon. A mercenary alone aboard an orbital station. A thief on the run through the underbelly of a sprawling megacity. They don't know each other and share nothing, except this medallion they each find in their first few minutes, with no clue where it came from.

You feed it energy, you slot in whatever you pick up along the way, and you keep getting stronger.

Getting stupidly powerful Every run starts at level 1. At first you scrape a few levels per kill, then pretty soon you're jumping hundreds at once. You spend your points mid-fight with a directional cross, without ever stopping to play. The bonuses pile up, the snowball gets out of hand, and that's exactly the idea.

Exploration: a roguelite take on the metroidvania Levels are fixed but wired together. Some exits only open for a specific character, others depend on the movement abilities you've unlocked (double jump, dash) or on where you stand with the factions. A map shows up partway through so you can plan your routes, and every now and then a rare level turns up somewhere you weren't expecting.

Four characters Each one has their own weapons and armor. The gems you slot into the medallion, though, work for all four at once. Plenty of room to mess with builds, hunt down the right synergies, and unlock up to three active skills in a single run.

A story told sideways The heroes never speak. Everything comes through the environments, the NPCs you run into, and the way the zones start overlapping from one character to the next. Factions are at war, each has its own version of events, and none of them is entirely right. It's on you to piece it together.

Solo or up to 4 On your own, you'll sometimes cross paths with the ghosts of fallen characters, yours or other players', brought back with the exact gear they had when they went down. And in online co-op, up to four players take on a run together, one hero each.

The look Black, white, greys, and one color cutting through all of it: yellow. It's also the color of whatever carries over from one run to the next.

Demo coming in 2027 A free demo, several hours long, lands in 2027. If the project speaks to you, add It Grows to your wishlist, it genuinely helps.
