Aetherantis: Realm of Fates is a turn-based strategy board game blending resource gathering, territory development and fate card mechanics, set within a whimsical fantasy mythos and crafted to deliver authentic tabletop gaming fun. Up to four players can compete locally on a single device, with options for free-for-all matches or 2v2 team battles. Thanks to Steam’s Remote Play Together feature, you can gather friends for a full game night without leaving home.

2. Core Gameplay

Territory Construction & Resource Economy (Core Strategy Loop)

Floating realm Aetherantis is blessed by ancient deities, with divine ore veins and natural resources scattered across its sprawling lands. As aspiring lords, players roll the dice to chart their expansion, stockpile resources from controlled land plots and build settlements and trading harbors. Strike trade deals across disparate city-states and pivot match outcomes with uniquely powered fate cards to rack up victory points and claim dominion over Aetherantis.

Unique Fate Card System

Boasting over 20 distinct fate cards, this original card mechanic adds rich competitive depth to every match. Draw cards mid-game to plunder rival resources, lock opponents out of trades, alter harbor exchange rates or temporarily seize production from enemy settlements; a well-timed card can turn a losing run into an unexpected comeback. Combine multiple cards in tandem to unlock countless creative tactical synergies.

Versatile Multiplayer Rules

Local multiplayer supports 1–4 players on one machine, featuring free-for-all skirmishes and competitive 2v2 team duels, making it an ideal tabletop pick for gatherings with friends.

• Procedurally Generated Maps: Every playthrough spawns unique land layouts and resource spawns, eliminating stale fixed-map meta. Random combinations of land tiles and harbors create shifting resource economies and expansion paths for endless replayability.

• Fate Card Community Contest: Submit your custom card designs via our official community campaign. Standout creations will be implemented into the official in-game card roster with your designer credit attached, growing the game alongside our player base.

Portions of in-game art assets were initially generated with generative AI, followed by extensive manual hand-drawn revision, restructuring and detailed painting by the developer. Game text and localization drafts were AI-assisted then fully proofread and revised manually. All background music and sound effects are licensed free commercial assets downloaded from authorized resource websites; no generative AI was used for audio production. Source code was written with coding assistant tools.
