What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Morse Depths: WWII combines submarine combat with Morse code commands. We want to use Early Access to understand how different players experience this combination, from those learning Morse to those already familiar with it.

Community feedback will help us adjust the difficulty, make the mechanics clearer, and fix issues while we work on the remaining campaigns.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate approximately three months in Early Access, with the full release planned for January 2027. This timeframe may change depending on development progress and the adjustments needed based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game from the two initial campaigns to four by adding the 1944 and 1945 campaigns.

Our goal is to introduce new enemies, missions, boss encounters, and combat situations, alongside greater visual and audio variety. We also intend to improve balancing, the interface, and the Morse learning experience based on feedback received during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the 1942 and 1943 campaigns, set in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, with seven missions in each campaign.

Available content includes submarine combat using Morse commands, different enemy types, periscope missions, and battles against the Abyssal Nautilus and Megalodon bosses. Players can progress through both campaigns while learning and practicing Morse through combat.

The 1944 and 1945 campaigns are not yet available to play. Throughout Early Access, we will continue working on fixes, improvements, and difficulty adjustments.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Our current plan is to keep the base price unchanged during Early Access and after the full release. If this plan changes, we will inform the community in advance. Temporary promotional discounts may be offered.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can share suggestions, report issues, and discuss their experiences through the game’s Steam discussions.

We are particularly interested in feedback on the difficulty of Morse commands, the clarity of visual cues, mission pacing, and boss battles. These contributions will help guide adjustments and development priorities.

We also plan to publish news and update notes on Steam, sharing the changes we make and the next steps for the project.”

About This Game

Deep in the ocean, every dot and dash can decide your crew's fate. In Morse Depths: WWII, you command a submarine in a war that hides much more than enemy fleets. Operate the telegraph, read the codes, and keep your calm when threats start closing in.

YOUR CODE IS YOUR WEAPON

Here, attacking isn't just pressing a button. Transmit real Morse codes to launch torpedoes, intercept threats, and clear a path through the depths. Dots and dashes become split-second decisions: engage the enemy, counter a torpedo, or prepare an evasion. Don't know Morse? The early missions introduce the commands, and on-screen codes help you learn as you play. As the campaign advances, new threats demand more attention, precision, and agility.

OBSERVE. IDENTIFY. ATTACK.

In periscope mode, the battle shifts perspective. Scan the horizon, identify ships, lock on, and transmit the code to fire. Choose your targets carefully: hospital ships must not be attacked. Destroyers hunt for your position as the detection meter rises. Dive to reduce exposure and reload your torpedoes before surfacing again. Rain and fog make target identification even more critical.

CHOOSE YOUR SUBMARINE

Return to Port and use the War Bonds earned in missions to expand your fleet. Each submarine combines defense, reload speed, torpedo speed, and reward bonuses in a different way. Compare stats in the Arsenal and choose your priority: hold out longer, fire more often, or invest in growing your fleet. The most advanced submarines offer more possibilities to face the upcoming challenges.

NOT EVERY THREAT IS HUMAN

Something much larger lurks beneath the patrol routes. Break the shell of the Abyssal Nautilus, intercept its calcareous pearls, and survive the Megalodon's charges. Boss fights combine Morse, dodges, and counter-attack opportunities. Watch each creature's movements, recognize the danger signs, and find the right moment to strike back. The ocean still holds other secrets.

A WAR THAT DIVES INTO THE UNKNOWN

From submarine patrols to periscope operations, follow your crew on missions that mix naval combat and fantastical threats. The complete campaign is designed to span the years 1942 to 1945, with new challenges and a boss at the end of each campaign. In the depths, your best weapon is a cool head. Transmit the code. Protect the crew. Return to the surface.
