About This Game

The Wandering Spire is a 2D hack and slash platformer that uses a trigger response mechanic that affects both battles and conversation choices. Fight, Flight, Freeze and Fawn responses will trigger during battles, forcing you to act by either fighting, running, stopping, or approaching the enemy. Failing to do so raises Safira's stress. Too much stress and Safira will have a panic attack and pass out mid battle. 

It also affects conversations. Trigger responses may cause Safira's dialogue options to be more aggressive if she's in fight mode. You can always bury your feelings...but it will cause Safira stress.
