What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Scavenge Protocol is being developed by a solo developer and has been in active development for the past 6-7 months.

I decided to release the game in Early Access because I believe the best way to improve a multiplayer game is by listening to the people who actually play it.

There are many features and content updates planned for the future, including new planets, themed facilities, monsters, equipment, progression systems, and quality-of-life improvements.

Scavenge Protocol is a passion project. I'm not trying to compete with any particular game or chase trends. I'm simply building a co-op horror experience that I enjoy creating and hope others will enjoy playing with their friends.

Early Access gives players the opportunity to help shape the future of the game while supporting its ongoing development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to remain in Early Access until late July 2027. However, this timeline may vary depending on development progress and player feedback. Our goal is to continue improving the game until it reaches a stable and complete version”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains the core gameplay experience, including cooperative multiplayer, procedural facilities, monsters, scrap collection, the energy system, and multiple planets to explore.

During Early Access, I plan to significantly expand the game with additional content and features, including:

• New planets and environments

• Planet-specific themed facilities and dungeons

• New monsters with unique behaviors and mechanics

• Additional equipment, upgrades, and items

• Expanded progression and energy systems

• More traps, hazards, and gameplay events

• Quality-of-life improvements and balancing based on community feedback

The goal for the full release is not to completely change the game, but to build upon the existing foundation and make the world feel larger, more varied, and more replayable.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently in a playable state and includes the core gameplay systems that define the Scavenge Protocol experience.

Players can explore procedurally generated facilities, collect scrap, convert it into energy, survive unique monsters, avoid traps, and play cooperatively with friends using proximity voice chat.

The current version includes multiple planets, themed environments, various enemy types with different behaviors, an energy-based progression system, and online multiplayer support.

While the core experience is already available, the game is still actively being developed. Additional content, features, balancing, optimization, and quality-of-life improvements are planned throughout Early Access.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price of the game may increase once it exits Early Access as we add more content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community in the development process as far as possible by collecting feedback through reviews, discussions, and direct player reports. Player suggestions will play an important role in shaping updates, improvements, and new features.”

About This Game

Scavenge Protocol is a multiplayer co-op horror game where you land on alien worlds, infiltrate high-risk facilities, and strip them of valuable scrap. Convert your haul into energy, gamble that energy on highly questionable upgrades, and try to make it back to orbit alive.

The goal is simple:

  • Land.

  • Loot.

  • Panic.

  • Leave.

Unfortunately, the local wildlife strongly disagrees with this plan.

Explore procedurally generated complexes filled with lethal traps, terrifying monsters, and life choices you will immediately regret. Work together to survive, or abandon your friends the exact second something starts screaming in the dark. Every expedition is different, every shadow wants you dead, and every teammate suddenly becomes an Olympic sprinter when things go wrong.

Procedurally Generated Facilities

  • Infinite Layouts: Every run generates a completely new facility grid.

  • No Map, No Help: Even we don't know where the exit is. Good luck.

Hazardous Alien Planets

  • Themed Environments: Different planets house vastly different facility types.

  • Unique Vibes: Because getting hunted in an industrial factory hits entirely differently than getting chased through the Backrooms.

Horrifying Entities

  • Unpredictable AI: Every monster hunts with completely distinct behavior.

  • The Mimic Effect: Some creatures can disguise themselves or sound like safety.

  • Visual Triggers: Some monsters attack if you look at them; others attack if you break eye contact.

  • The Unknown: And some are just plain weird.

The Energy Economy

  • Scrap to Power: Melt down your collected junk into raw energy.

  • Fuel the Ship: Keep the lights on and your life support running.

  • Upgrade Equipment: Buy better gear to survive deeper dives.

  • Waste It All: Spend it on something completely stupid. Your choice.

Advanced Movement System

  • Run. Dash. Slide. Panic.

  • ...sometimes in that exact order.

The Company does not value your survival. Happy hunting.
