Why Early Access?

“We believe the best roguelites are shaped alongside their communities. Early Access allows us to gather feedback from players as they experiment with different builds, crafting strategies, and cooperative playstyles. Community feedback will help us refine combat balance, progression, difficulty, quality-of-life features, and overall game feel while we continue expanding the game's content. Our goal is to build a highly replayable experience, and player feedback will play an important role in helping us achieve that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Neophyte Protocol to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months. This timeline may change depending on community feedback and the scope of improvements we choose to pursue during development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is designed to provide a complete and enjoyable gameplay experience while serving as the foundation for future updates. We plan to expand the game with additional biomes, enemies, bosses, weapons, crafting recipes, abilities, items, events, progression systems, and gameplay features. We also intend to continue improving performance, visual polish, user interface, balancing, and cooperative multiplayer based on player feedback. While our long-term plans are ambitious, development priorities may evolve as we learn more from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the core gameplay loop, including fast-paced combat, crafting, character progression, build customization, online cooperative multiplayer, and multiple hours of replayable roguelite gameplay. Players can experiment with a wide variety of builds while battling increasingly dangerous enemy hordes and powerful bosses. While the game is fully playable, additional content, balance improvements, polish, optimization, and quality-of-life features are still planned throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price upon full release of the game. Players who support the game early will receive the complete Early Access experience at a lower price than what we expect for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout development. We plan to actively monitor player feedback, bug reports, gameplay discussions, and balance suggestions through the Steam Community Hub, Discord, and other social platforms. We will use this feedback to help prioritize improvements, refine game systems, address issues, and guide future content updates. Our goal is to be transparent about development while building the game alongside the community.”
