About This Game

Save Bumblebrook from its Corrupt Mayor

The Mayor of Bumblebrook is corrupt, cruel, and impossible to ignore.

Violence was never your style, so you came up with a better plan:

Make life so miserable for the Mayor that he abandons the town for good.

It was the perfect plan.

Then Barnaby Bristle heard about it.

Eager to help save Bumblebrook, Barnaby immediately joined the cause. Unfortunately, he's not particularly interested in following your lead. He's recruiting his own crews, carrying out his own schemes, and creating almost as many problems as he solves.

Now you and Barnaby are both working to drive the Mayor from town. Whether Barnaby is helping or hindering often depends on the day. After all, Barnaby knows best. Just ask him.

Recruit townsfolk, assemble specialized crews, complete increasingly outrageous schemes, and use every advantage at your disposal as you push the Mayor beyond his breaking point.

But be careful.

The more mischief you and Barnaby cause, the harder the Mayor pushes back. His jail is already filling with troublemakers, and if it becomes too crowded, he may decide it's finally time to put Bumblebrook's rusty old guillotine back into service.

Recruit Townsfolk

Recruit Planners, Mystics, Roughnecks, Scholars, Wranglers, and Rogues to build specialized crews capable of carrying out scheme after scheme.

Complete Outlandish Schemes

The people of Bumblebrook never run out of creative ways to make life miserable for the Mayor.

Assemble the right combination of recruits to complete schemes, generate Mischief, and push the Mayor closer to abandoning the town. Every completed scheme also determines how your recruits must be posted on the Town's Most Wanted Board.

Manage the Wanted Board

Every successful scheme attracts attention.

As recruits participate in your plans, their wanted posters must be placed on the Wanted Board. Arrange them carefully—you must always choose the row, column, or diagonal with the most empty spaces.

Placing a wanted poster on top of the same recruit's poster sends that recruit to jail.

Every arrest weakens your rebellion as the jail fills closer to capacity, bringing the Mayor one step closer to restoring Bumblebrook's rusty guillotine. At the same time, each arrest frees space on the Wanted Board, creating new opportunities to continue your campaign of carefully planned irritation.

Use Recruit Services

Not every recruit is needed for every scheme.

Call on recruit services to refill your crew, find exactly who you need, manipulate the Wanted Board, and even orchestrate strategic arrests so you can break key recruits out later.

Every service opens new tactical possibilities for keeping your rebellion alive.

Deal with Barnaby Bristle

Barnaby means well.

Usually.

Watch him recruit townsfolk and enthusiastically mismanage his own campaign to save Bumblebrook. Sometimes he'll help. Sometimes he'll create entirely new problems.

Learning how to work around Barnaby may prove just as important as dealing with the Mayor himself.
