About This Demo

"Pay the gravity tax... your factories will become a vortex if they grow too vast."

- Rock Paper Shotgun

THE ASEMA DEMO

The Asema demo includes a small demo world and the entire Act 1 of the default campaign. Act 1 contains several hours of content for a new player. The technology tree is partially restricted. The full tree unlocks in Early Access. The full solar system, enemy system, and much more will be available in the full version.

BUILD SPACE FACTORY

In Asema, you build a sprawling industrial empire in a zero-gravity Newtonian sandbox. You start as a single pioneer drone, manually harvesting resources and physically bumping asteroids into your first basic refineries. As you scale, you construct a vast logistical network where conveyor belts don't exist - instead, you manage momentum and placement: physically plugging distributor railguns into your machines, flying heavy haulers to colonize distant moons for more and new resources, and aligning massive railgun arrays to automate the flow of physical payloads across the void. The engine handles the complex orbital physics; your job is to design the ultimate automated machine.

Everything is a potential resource - even the Locals.

THE ARRAY

You were built by a nameless civilization you refer to as Array - you were created to obey an ancient protocol that seeks to maintain silence and peace throughout the galaxy. For the longest time, nothing changed. The protocol kept peace. But this time, something is different. Discover the mystery behind the Locals, the Safeguard that shouldn't be there and the true state of the Array.

IN SPACE, CONVEYOR BELTS ARE FUTILE

Resources in Asema are physical objects with mass. To automate your production chains, you must master the art of space logistics. Build localized grids by physically locking distributor railguns into place. When a local moon runs dry or is not enough, pack a heavy space hauler, manually fly to an icy asteroid stream you discovered earlier while scouting the space, and establish a new beachhead. To connect your distant outposts, build and align automated long range railgun artillery arrays on moons to fire glowing resource payloads safely across the darkness.

PAY THE GRAVITY TAX

Operating near celestial bodies introduces a unique environmental puzzle: gravity. Your heavy machines will naturally drift toward the nearest gravity wells, such as moons. In Asema, anything can become a gravity well when it has enough mass - even one of your own machines. You don't need to calculate orbital math or plot trajectories: you just need to manage your economy. Build and power dedicated Focus arrays (computational anti-gravity) to keep your grid stable, counter the pull of the moons and gravity wells and keep your factories perfectly positioned.

THE ULTIMATE MACHINE

Climb a vast, branching scifi-spirited technology tree to discover increasingly exotic ways to manipulate matter. Expand your operations from the deep gravity well of the inner solar system out into the freezing, distant reach of the Void.
