What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are bringing NumWorlds to PC for the first time as a native Steam release. While the mobile version has been well-received, the PC version gives us the opportunity to significantly expand the game with new game modes, improved controls, higher-fidelity visuals, and ongoing content updates.

Early Access allows us to release a playable and enjoyable version now, gather valuable player feedback, and continue improving the game together with the community as we work toward the full 1.0 release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect NumWorlds to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months. This timeline may change depending on player feedback and the scope of the updates we implement. Our goal is to reach version 1.0 once the core experience feels complete and polished on PC.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the full 200+ level campaign, the brand new Infinite Mode with Steam leaderboards and achievements, native PC controls and visuals, and a completely premium experience. No ads and no in-app purchases of any kind. Every cosmetic is earned in-game.

During Early Access, we plan to keep expanding the game. This includes a brand-new Minesweeper-inspired game mode, full widescreen support, a redesigned world map with a quick-travel radial menu, an expanded shard economy with more mini-games, quests, and daily challenges, and new biomes — starting with a world inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and folklore of Ireland — plus ongoing UI/UX refinements and further performance and visual enhancements. We will keep listening to player feedback and prioritize the features the community finds most valuable as we work toward the full 1.0 release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of NumWorlds is a fully playable native PC port of our relaxing 3D number puzzle game. It features the complete 200+ level campaign across two biomes, the brand new Infinite Mode with weekly and all-time leaderboards, Steam achievements, improved mouse, keyboard, and controller support, higher-resolution visuals with selectable graphics APIs, and a completely ad-free experience with zero in-app purchases — every cosmetic block is earned through play.

The core puzzle gameplay is solid and enjoyable, and we are still actively expanding content, refining the experience, and adding new features based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. NumWorlds is offered at a lower launch price during Early Access as a thank-you to early players. We intend to increase the price as we add significant new content and features on the way to the full 1.0 release. Exact pricing changes will be communicated ahead of major updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to play an active role in shaping NumWorlds on PC. Players can share feedback directly through Steam discussions, reviews, and the in-game feedback tools we plan to add.

We will regularly read player comments and use that input to prioritize new game modes, levels, quality-of-life improvements, and balance changes. We also plan to post regular development updates and roadmaps so players can see what we're working on and provide input before features are finalized.”
