Yokai Idle is a relaxing idle RPG inspired by Japanese folklore, history, and classic skilling games. Train skills, gather resources, craft equipment, and explore the mysterious island of Onigashima as you build a character uniquely your own.

Progress continues for up to 24 hours while you're away. Whether you're visiting Shrines, funding Festivals, training skills, or battling dangerous Yokai, every action contributes toward unlocking new opportunities and expanding your adventure.

Collect over 50 Yokai inspired by Japanese mythology, each represented as a collectable card that grants unique passive bonuses when equipped. Build your collection, discover powerful synergies, and create entirely different playstyles through your choice of Yokai, Class, Species, equipment, and elemental affinities.

Craft equipment with powerful ARPG-style modifiers and experiment with countless combinations. Focus on devastating elemental damage, stack powerful status effects, specialise in resource generation, or forge your own path through unique interactions and build-defining items. Equipment retains its original modifiers, allowing rare legacy items from previous versions of the game to remain part of your collection.

Advance through the Ages of Japan by funding grand Festivals that reshape the island of Onigashima. As each Age dawns, new currencies, materials, equipment, dungeons, Classes, and opportunities become available. Journey from the shell currencies of the Jomon era to the coinage of later Ages while discovering the history, mythology, and vocabulary that inspired them.

With 14+ skills to train, hundreds of items to discover, automated combat, offline progression, cloud saves, and full mod support with mod.io. Adding your own creations has never been easier, if you have never made a mod before this is a great place to start!
