Why Early Access?

“Deadly Match is fully playable from start to finish, but we want to polish it with player input before 1.0. Our goals are to improve the hint system, replace the character voices, and add an in-game menu interface. We’re committed to developing the game through to full release and will use player feedback to prioritize this work.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect something like 6 months in early access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Planned for 1.0:

Re-recorded character voices [for all characters]
Improved hint system [e.g. clearer, more accessible hints]
A UI for accessing the menu system [e.g. pause/settings/dialogue]
Additional changes may be added based on community feedback.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is a complete, playable build. Every feature listed in the About This section is already implemented. Voices, hints and menu access are the areas still being improved.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning on changing the price when we leave early access.”

“Feedback from Steam Community Discussions and our Discord (linked in this page’s social links) directly shapes our priorities, especially for hints, voices and menu usability. We’ll post update notes regularly and will adjust the roadmap based on what players tell us.”
