Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our Early Access development phase is expected to span multiple years.
The scope of our story and total game content has grown far beyond our original planning. As a small dedicated team, we lack sufficient manpower to deliver the complete narrative all at once. Instead, we will roll out new content gradually at a steady, sustainable pace.
Gameplay design will hold our highest priority throughout Early Access, with content expansion and story refinement as our secondary focus. A tight, engaging core gameplay loop is the foundation of everything we build.
Please keep in mind our development roadmap is dynamic and will shift based on playtest feedback. We will keep all players fully informed of every adjustment, and we truly appreciate your patience and trust as we craft this game alongside the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“As development progresses toward full release, we aim to expand and refine our core gameplay systems. This includes expanding the skill tree roster, reworking command and troop formation mechanics, as well as balancing gameplay to deliver a smoother overall play experience. We will also iterate on the core gameplay loop to make combat and loot progression more rewarding compared to the Early Access build.
We intend to craft a conclusive narrative finale as part of the full release’s story expansion.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“For a full overview of all available features and game content, please check the About This Game section on our store page.
Our core gameplay loop is fully functional for players to experience, while additional story and endgame content remain in ongoing development.
At present, players can control their protagonist on the battlefield to move, switch combat stances and engage in regular combat. By inputting hotkey combinations, players can issue orders to their soldiers, enabling troop units to take up positions, move forward, launch charges, alter formations and more.
Players can also carry out a variety of daily activities during the life segment, such as boosting stats for themselves and summoned soldiers with equipment, modifying loadouts, exploring the surrounding environment, and summoning new troops.
The game currently features at least four distinct level terrains.
Frankly speaking, the overall completion level of the game has not yet met our internal targets. There is still a long way to go, especially in terms of total game content before the full release. We will keep polishing gameplay mechanics and expanding game content to deliver an improved gaming experience for all players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes.
This game’s base price will increase gradually as development nears completion.
Once the base price is raised, it will never be lowered again — we firmly believe this title is well worth the price.
That said, we will continue to host regular limited-time discounts, holiday sales and other promotions so players can purchase the game at a favorable time.”

“We maintain open, consistent communication through multiple channels:

About This Game

  • NecroTide is a single-player turn-based survival loot ARPG with fast, tight combat. Gameplay leans hard into tactical fights rather than lengthy story sequences, centered around a distinct Second-Person Perspective Battlefield system you won’t see elsewhere.

  • This game is currently in Early Access, with an estimated playable runtime of 5–10 hours.

  • You play as a reanimated skull. A mysterious skeletal girl stands beside you as you scrape by and wage unceasing war across the shadowed world of the NecroTide.

  • Each night loops through three gameplay phases: daily phase, prep phase, and combat phase. Beat powerful bosses and clear repeated short level runs to advance the main plot toward its conclusion. Throughout the journey, the protagonist gathers spirit-related resources to gradually recover their lost memories, reconstruct their physical form and regain their human body. In the end, they return to the world they originally came from.

What makes our Second-Person Perspective Battlefield mechanic unique?

On the battlefield, your skeletal male avatar comes with a fully free-floating camera, letting you pan and survey the entire field from any angle.

At the same time, you direct the skeletal girl: WASD moves her, left/right mouse buttons swap combat stances, and she automatically strikes foes that wander into her attack radius. This dual-control second-person setup forms the core of our distinct combat loop.

Streamlined Allied Gear System

Most games lock each character to a separate equipment menu, but our unified UI holds gear slots for dozens of allied units all on one screen. Within this single interface, you can freely adjust the skeletal girl’s loadout alongside equipment for every other ally under your command.

Critical Note for Players

This game is neither roguelike nor roguelite. It does not include core genre staples like random branching upgrade paths or procedurally generated maps.
