About This Game

The Stage

The main stage of this work is a space research vessel named "Xiange". Lost in space and out of contact with Earth, the vessel forms an unconventional "stormy mountain villa", making it an ideal setting for a honkaku mystery story...

Story Background

The protagonist, Chen Chou, is invited by a friend to take part in a strange experiment. During the experiment, Chen Chou enters a bizarre container. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself aboard a space research vessel. Stranger still, the crew members—whom Chen Chou has never met—all claim to know him. Could it be that he has traveled to a parallel world? And soon after, murders begin to occur one after another...

A reasoning experience that emphasizes player agency

In typical mystery games, the deduction segments often follow a fixed process: players are only asked to reason at key moments, spending most of their time watching characters discuss rather than deducing on their own. This makes it hard to experience the authentic honkaku mystery thrill of starting from scratch and unraveling the truth step by step.

The deduction system of Parallel Lines Intersection Murder Case aims to stimulate players’ initiative in independent reasoning. The reasoning process is actively controlled by the player—which line of thought or clue to start with is decided by the player, rather than following a fixed in-game sequence.

Reasoning and story influenced by parallel worlds

Depending on whether the player uses parallel-world-related clues during deduction, the reasoning will diverge significantly, potentially leading to completely different murders and methods. At the same time, it will also affect the subsequent direction of the story.
