About This Game

After surviving the train crash at the end of ACT 2, Joey finds herself stranded and alone.  Alternia's deadly sun is rising, the empire is hunting for dissidents, and the scattered pieces of her portal home could be anywhere.  Fortunately, the young "seadweller" Fiamet arrives to show her the way forward: deep underground, into a network of ancient tunnels left behind by the adults who were banished from the planet centuries ago.  But the dark unknown may harbor greater terrors than anything they faced on the surface.

Elsewhere, the influencer-turned-rebel Cridea is having an even worse day.  It seems like the whole universe is conspiring to ruin her birthday party!  When the wicked Heiress to the Alternian Empire crashes the festivities to accuse her of sedition, she has no choice but to abandon her life of comfort and go on the run.

HIVESWAP: ACT 3 is the third chapter in the four-part narrative adventure series set in Andrew Hussie's Homestuck universe.  Follow Joey and Cridea as they puzzle their way past backstabbing influencers, killer clowns, fungal zombies and worse, hurrying to rebuild the portal back to Earth before time runs out.

PUZZLES GALORE 

ACT 3 returns to the classic point-and-click adventure game formula with larger environments, deeper exploration, and a greater emphasis on puzzle solving.  Search abandoned settlements for clues, piece together ancient machinery and decipher the remnants of a forgotten civilization. Every locked door has a key. 

NEW AND OLD FRIENDS

Not all of the train's passengers were as lucky as Joey.  Many fan-favorite characters return, emerging from the wreckage to a nightmare that will make them envy the dead.  ACT 3 puts the spotlight on its core cast, exploring their stories and relationships in much greater depth – but there are still more unforgettable new characters to meet along the way.  For the first time in the HIVESWAP series, our heroes will come face-to-face with adult trolls: eccentric survivors who escaped exile, execution or worse.  Some have built hidden communities deep beneath the planet's surface beyond the empire's reach, while others have found their own ways to endure.  They may prove valuable allies, or enemies far more dangerous than any you've encountered before.

Beneath Alternia's crust lies a forgotten world of enticing mysteries, but some secrets were buried for a reason.  As Joey and Cridea descend into the darkness, they'll encounter horrors beyond comprehension.  The train crash was only the first of many tragedies to come. 

AN INCREDIBLE SOUNDTRACK

The musical tradition of HIVESWAP continues with an all-new soundtrack featuring returning composers Toby Fox, James Roach, and Clark Powell.  From eerie subterranean atmospheres to pulse-pounding boss encounters, ACT 3 delivers some of the series' most unforgettable music yet.  And for longtime Homestuck fans, a few more familiar names may be joining the lineup once again! 

THE STORY CONTINUES

Import your save from previous acts to carry your choices forward.  Friends, enemies, and decisions from earlier chapters may return when you least expect them. New to Homestuck or HIVESWAP?  An in-game recap will get you up to speed before ACT 3 begins.
