About This Game

A Fast Arcade Shooter About Making Bad Calls

Nova Swarm is a score-chasing space shooter built for short runs, instant restarts, and that dangerous feeling that the next attempt is definitely going to go better.

Pick a ship from the hangar, head into the swarm, and try to keep it together while enemy formations, elite ships, boss attacks, bonus cores, and near-miss scoring chances all pile into the same tiny patch of screen.

Survive through Sector 10 and you clear the main run, but you can keep playing into Overrun for a higher score.

Every Run Leaves a Mark

Your score matters, obviously. But it is not the only thing the game keeps track of.

Boss kills, clean waves, Codex finds, pilot rank, ship milestones, and other run stats all feed back into your career profile. Between attempts, the hangar opens up new ships, Career Intel shows what changed, and the Threat Codex slowly turns enemy chaos into something you can actually read.

Chase your own best, compare scores where leaderboards are available, and keep pushing for a cleaner run.

The Cabinet Is Watching

There is also a weird little machine-brain paying attention.

Do something clever, lucky, reckless, or just plain stupid enough, and the Cabinet might write a log about it. Sometimes it gives you a useful hint. Sometimes it just records the fact that you somehow survived something you absolutely should not try again.

Learn the Swarm, Then Get Greedy

Enemies are designed around readable pressure: lane cutters, rail shots, mines, rings, splitters, orbiting hazards, elites, tractor debuffs, and bosses with clear tells.

The game is not about memorizing a giant spreadsheet. It is about learning when to move, when to stay put, when to chase the bonus, and when that tiny glowing gap is obviously bait even though you are going to fly into it anyway.
