“Box Hunt is still in it's early stages of development. I am the only person working on this game and have a job outside of game development. That said, I am aiming to have this game finished by the end of the year, if not sooner.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Box Hunt is planned to have up to 50 Levels with a hidden storyline and more custom level modifiers along with Steam Achievements as well.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Box Hunt, as of right now has the first 25 levels along with being able to create your own custom levels. Right now the main game can be beat in roughly 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the person but custom levels allow for infinite replay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, Box Hunt will be priced lower during Early Access. The price will increase upon full release, but will still remain very affordable.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“During Early Access, I plan to use Steam Discussions as the main place for players to give feedback, report bugs, and even suggest ideas. I will check and reply to player threads when I can. Once the game grows, I plan to create a Discord server for more direct community interaction.”

About This Game

My Dad made a game for me and my brother back when I was very young called "Box Hunt". His game was for a very old version of windows and he never put his game out for release to the public. I've asked him to remake his game so I could add it as a possible DLC to this game in the future after this game is complete. His game was very basic, a room that spawned in boxes, had infinite levels, nothing special.

WHAT MAKES THIS GAME DIFFERENT?

This game, Box Hunt generates a procedural maze where you go through and hunting these white glowing boxes. Some parts of the mazes you may encounter will be dark, and that's okay. your bullets will light the path.

WHAT IS A "RELAXING SHOOTER" GAME?

Well, to put it simply, it's exactly as it sounds. You fly around a procedural maze and hunt boxes.

That's literally it. You're not stressed on time, there's no need to rush, oh, and nothing can hurt you, NOTHING, I promise! Just sit back, relax, enjoy a peaceful shooting game.
