What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Planet Terminus is built around a simple idea: a raid should feel tense from the moment you leave safety until the moment you make it back.

The core loop is already being tested privately: preparing equipment, entering hostile areas, moving quietly or fighting through Security, recovering loot, and extracting. But a small group cannot uncover every problem, especially in online co-op.

Early Access gives more players a chance to put the game through its paces and help us improve combat balance, enemy behavior, progression, performance, and reliability before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't have a firm end date for Early Access yet, and we don't want to give an estimate we cannot stand behind.

Our goal is to leave Early Access when Planet Terminus offers a stable, well-rounded tactical experience with enough variety and progression to make repeat raids worthwhile.

The timeline will depend on development progress, testing, and player feedback. We'll share more specific plans when we're confident in them.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to build on the same core experience offered in Early Access: prepare in MOTHER, deploy alone or with friends, navigate hostile territory, deal with Security, recover valuable equipment, and extract.

As development continues, we want to expand mission variety, playable areas, enemy behavior, equipment options, and operator progression. We also plan continued improvements to multiplayer reliability, performance, balance, and the interface.

These are development goals rather than a fixed checklist or release schedule. Our priority is to build on what already works and make the overall experience deeper, more stable, and more rewarding to return to.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access is intended to begin with a focused, playable version of the main raid experience rather than a feature-complete game.

Players will be able to prepare equipment in MOTHER, deploy into hostile territory, approach encounters through stealth or direct combat, recover loot, and attempt extraction.

Solo play and online co-op are central to the experience, supported by tactical Security encounters, weapons, inventory management, and operator progression.

The exact launch build is still being finalized. Players should expect limited content compared with the intended full version, ongoing balance adjustments, and occasional bugs as we continue improving stability, AI behavior, networking, performance, and overall gameplay quality.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We haven't set a fixed pricing schedule for Early Access.

The price may increase as substantial content and features are added, or when Planet Terminus reaches full release. Any decision will reflect the state of the game and the amount of content available at that time.

If we decide to change the price, we'll communicate the plans through Steam.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Steam Discussions will be our main place for feedback and bug reports, alongside playtests and development updates.

We're especially interested in how the game feels across different squads, PCs, and internet connections. Feedback about Security behavior, stealth, combat, equipment progression, raid pacing, and multiplayer issues will help us identify problems that private testing might miss.

We'll listen for recurring issues, share what we're working on, and explain our priorities when we can. Not every suggestion will fit the direction of Planet Terminus, but clear reports and thoughtful criticism will help us make better decisions.”

About This Game

Planet Terminus is a top-down PvE tactical raid shooter where every deployment asks the same question: how far are you willing to push before the raid turns against you?

Prepare in MOTHER, choose your equipment, and deploy alone or with a squad into hostile industrial zones. Move quietly, manage sound and sightlines, loot what you can carry, and decide when to extract before mounting pressure turns a good raid into a bad one.

SECURITY PUSHES BACK

Terminus Security is dangerous because it reacts to what you do. Patrols investigate suspicious activity, communicate, reinforce, hold angles, search, flank, and punish exposed positions.

Break contact. Reposition. Stay quiet. Go loud. Or leave before Security closes the trap.

GEAR MATTERS

Weapons, ammunition, armor, inventory space, and weight are physical constraints. Modular firearms, compatible ammunition, equipment condition, and what you choose to carry all affect how you fight and what you can bring home.

Recover valuable gear and physical Blueprints, then return to MOTHER to analyze, recycle, fabricate, modify, and prepare for the next raid.

PROGRESS WITHOUT INVULNERABILITY

Progression improves proficiency, handling, logistics, and tactical options. It does not turn your operator into a bullet sponge.

A more experienced operator can be faster, better prepared, and more capable — and still die quickly to a bad position, a missed threat, or a well-executed flank.

SOLO OR CO-OP

Deploy alone or coordinate with friends. Share compatible ammunition, revive teammates under pressure, cover movement, divide loot, and decide together when the reward is no longer worth the risk.

Enter prepared. Adapt when the situation changes. Extract while you still can.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Planet Terminus contains realistic firearm combat, blood effects, tactical violence, explosions, and depictions of hostile combat encounters in a dark post-apocalyptic setting. Players engage enemy squads using firearms, grenades, stealth takedowns, and close-quarters combat. The game includes tense military themes and atmospheric violence, but does not contain sexual content or nudity.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: i7-4770
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
