About This Game

Welcome to Black Water Bus Station

The Black Water is a first-person psychological horror game set inside an abandoned bus station in southern China.

After an unnatural rainstorm, the long-closed Black Water Bus Station begins showing signs of activity again. Lights flicker behind empty ticket windows, announcements echo through the waiting hall, and a public telephone rings with no one on the other end.

You enter the station as an investigator tasked with examining contaminated objects, documenting abnormal phenomena, and tracing the presence that is slowly entering reality through banyan roots, standing water, and forgotten belongings.

There are no clearly marked safe areas.

An old photograph may change after you look away. A trail of wet footprints may lead toward a ticket window that should no longer be open. Scattered personal items appear to be reconstructing the story of a woman who died many years ago.

Investigate Anomalous Objects

Tickets, missing-person notices, photographs, rope marks, and abandoned belongings can all become carriers of the anomaly.

Observe how they change, document their behavior, and connect traces related to time, place, and human identity. Some events may happen only once, while incorrect conclusions or prolonged exposure can cause an investigation to spiral out of control.

Explore Without Constant Guidance

Freely investigate the waiting hall, ticket counters, electrical room, and areas overtaken by banyan roots.

The game does not rely entirely on objective markers. Changes in sound, lighting, reflections, water, footprints, and ordinary objects are your most important clues.

Grounded Chinese Psychological Horror

The horror of The Black Water is built around familiar places and objects:

  • A small-town bus station in southern China during the early 2000s
  • Water-damaged notices, tickets, newspapers, and personal belongings
  • Fluorescent lights, public telephones, and abandoned ticket windows
  • Heavy rain, flooded floors, banyan roots, and a reality slowly losing its shape

Very few things will simply jump out at you.

The real danger lies in ordinary objects that begin to change in subtle ways.

Document It, Then Leave Alive

The deeper you investigate, the more tangible the anomaly becomes.

It begins with incorrect dates and damp paper. Then come breathing, footprints, reflections, and eventually something capable of responding to your attention.

Identify what it is.

Learn the rules it leaves behind.

Complete the investigation before it fully enters the station.
