About This Game

After the death of his mother, a man returns to the house where he spent much of his childhood to prepare it for sale. A storm forces him to stay the night, but when he wakes up, he finds himself downstairs and the house is no longer quite as he remembers it.

THE HOUSE

The One I Saw is a first-person psychological horror game built around exploration, atmosphere and a house that refuses to stay the same.

Each time you move through it, small details begin to feel wrong. A room may not look quite as you remember it. A light that was on is suddenly gone. Something appears where nothing was before.

There is no combat and no constant objective marker telling you where to go. You are left to explore, pay attention and decide what is worth following.

THE LOOP

The house changes as the night goes on.

Some differences are obvious. Others are easy to walk past.

Moving forward is simple. Understanding what is happening is not.

The more attention you give the house, the more it begins to reveal.

THE STORY

What happened here did not begin with the protagonist.

As the night unfolds, memories from his childhood begin to mix with the history of the house and the people who lived there before his family.

Years ago, he saw something inside these walls that he never understood.

Now he has come back.

And this time, he may finally learn what he saw.
