ESCAPE THE DEADROT

Wake up in one of 4 fully handcrafted maps with intricate pixel art, detailed interconnected paths, and freeform exploration. Figure out the path to escape, solve puzzles, investigate and collect key items to unlock new areas, and fight through intense set-piece events, all while fending off the Deadrot. This is not an easy game. If you're not careful, if you've been taking it easy, or if you don't have strong enough gear, you'll find yourself swarmed to death.

So learn your lesson, gear up and try again.

SCAVENGE FOR EQUIPMENT

Collect loot strewn across the map to craft and upgrade a variety of items at Crafting Stations. Resources are scarce and there are tough decisions to be made. Perhaps there's a better gun later on, so you might want to save your crafting components., or perhaps you need to upgrade your bullet damage right now. 

If you're lucky, you may find high-level medical aid or abandoned military tech that powers your gun up beyond normal levels. But every upgrade you get comes with a key decision to make. Who gets the Gold Core? Who gets the Armor Plate? More importantly, who doesn't get the items? You or your team can't have it all. No matter what, a compromise must be made.

Power yourself up with Soft Drinks from now-abandoned Vending Machines. These aren't your regular sodas - perhaps they've become anomalous too...

DEFEAT THEM YOUR WAY

You'll never make it with just a gun and a backpack. Arm yourself with a wide variety of unconventional tactical equipment, slip on a set of handcuffs with the right buff for your playstyle, and always keep your Actuator fully charged. Throw down an Arc Suppressor to control an area with shockwaves or activate a Biocalcifier to calcify any moving body in your eyesight. And there are many more.

Before entering a map, select your Loadout with care and make sure your team has the right tools for the right challenges.

HIDDEN PUZZLES, SECRET ROUTES

Solve challenging puzzles that will never stay the same twice to unlock new items and escape paths. Hurry or the Deadrot will overpower you before long. Some puzzles are item-based. Some are logic-based. Some are movement-based. And for some, you might just need to pull out the firepower.

Sundown Deadrot is fully playable solo, duo, or trio with both seamless friend lobbies and a quick public matchmaking system.
