REDLINE is a sci-fi romance visual novel set in a near-future coastal city in southern Japan where gifted individuals can perceive, interpret, and influence human emotions — abilities now at the center of scientific research and corporate ambition.

You play as a university student with the rare ability to perceive emotional connections as red threads. As you become entangled in a secretive research program and drawn toward five distinct love interests, your choices will shape not only your relationships, but the fate of society itself.

This demo offers a curated introduction to REDLINE’s world and characters.

You meet your best friend Yuki at the popular Café Meridian, where you reflect on the events of the past month, a time marked by your first moments at Redhaven University and the SYNEVIS Research Institute.

As you look back on those memories, you will relive your first encounters with each of the five love interests, offering a glimpse of what lies ahead.

Takuma Shinonome

Fresh out of medical school yet already deeply embedded in the research halls of SYNEVIS, Takuma is far more at home in the quiet solitude of his laboratory than in crowded rooms. Aziel Viré

Yuki Okabe

Yuki Okabe has been part of your life since middle school — through shared classrooms, late afternoons, and more than a few brutally honest conversations. These days, you’ll usually find her behind the counter at Meridian, Redhaven’s most popular café, serving coffee to half the city and commentary to anyone who needs it.

The full scope of REDLINE, including voice acting, additional features and content such as backgrounds and music, as well as further possibilities like an animated opening and localization, will depend on the success of a Kickstarter campaign following the demo release.

REDLINE is developed by a small independent team based in Germany, led by Marleen gollan (Moteru Games). Character art, additional game design input, and voice direction are created and provided by Moona and Amalia, forming the core team. The project is further supported by contributors across background art, music, and voice acting.
