IMPORTANT: Community Demo

Feudums is in pre-alpha stage. Our demo focuses on multiplayer and is only in English. We provide our demo as a continuously updated, interactive developer diary, aiming for full transparency and early cooperation with our community. We invite you to play the early versions, join our Discord and help us refine the game and its roadmap priorities as we progress.

If pre-early access games are not your cup of tea, that is totally fine. Please follow the game and bear with us until we ship a more complete version. Our roadmap is always available on our homepage, under Support / Roadmap (unfortunately, Steam doesn't allow direct links in descriptions).

About This Game

Join Feudums' community on Discord, wishlist and follow it to stay updated!

Heavily influenced by old-school strategy games like Lords of the Realm, Defender of the Crown or Genesia, early CRPG MUSHes, Crusader Kings and classic board games, Feudums is part 4X turn-based strategy, part online social game, completely moddable and is fully built around its players, with carefully crafted, hand-drawn visual style, contextual music tracks and original melodies.

... In Your Own Pace

Play casually or dive in as a hardcore player, find - or change - your place through the vassal system that make everyone important in the feudal society. Give instructions to your military companies, garrisons or fiefdoms, so they can address diverse situations in your absence. Let your court members to prepare with administrative reserves for when your attention returns to your lands.

... By Your Own Achievements

The asynchronous tick (turn) based gameplay encourages strategic thinking and allows ample time for devising plans. Feudums is also strictly fair to play - players have equal access to content and features in multiplayer, and they cannot ever buy any gameplay bonus or advantage. Strategy reigns supreme. What else should characterize a strategy game in the first place?

... With Blood and Sweat

War is expensive, bitter, and may have long-standing effects on your realm. A detailed battle system offers a variety of setups and tactical decisions, and battles may take multiple ticks, allowing others to reinforce the sides. Seasonal military campaigns with levy troops called lances are cornerstones of the system. War plans can be drawn up on the game map - setting rally points, marching routes or marking targets – and be shared with your allies.

... With Wits or by Scheming

Feudums uses a fluid and narrative-driven system; but beware, the narrative can shift with a single decision and you are not the sole contender seeking to influence its course! No agreement is set in stone, but breaking them requires a proper reason – or at least a convincingly fabricated one – else it may backfire, allowing rivals to take control of the unfolding events.

... A Feudal Society

Build your feudal social network by enrolling others - friends or strangers - as vassals or take a carefully worded oath and side with another. Changes in the feudal society lead to new opportunities and dilemmas, but grasping them has consequences for all parties involved.

... A Stable Domain

Every aspect of medieval life - such as growth, labor or warfare - is heavily affected by the seasons. People living on your land can switch between dozens of seasonal and non-seasonal jobs to contribute to your domain's prosperity. But remember, winter is always just around the corner! Levied troops will be solely missed when it's harvest time and ill-fated military campaigns, like the crops, are buried under the snow.

... Your Legacy and Lore

Grow and strengthen your noble house like a massive oak and enjoy its protective shadow by unlocking house traits, heraldic devices and titles over multiple game sessions. Design your coat of arms from a vast library of historic heraldic devices, offering millions of combinations. With every device and variation representing different merits, deeds, stains or attributes, watch your house's and your characters’ history unfold and told on the very shields they wield.

... The Course of the Story

With most major decisions, various dilemmas will pop up, creating exciting situations for new diplomatic, economic and military actions, keeping an ever-evolving social environment in constant move and leading to a unique, community-driven narrative in each game. Remember, whole narratives can change course with a single decision!

... Your Style

Feudums follow the fair and player-friendly pay-to-customize model, giving you full agency over what impression you might want to convey to others. Utilize unique heraldry, tailor the look of your court and hall, design your banners, customize the appearance of your armies, castles or settlements with an extensive array of items. While these modifications are purely cosmetic, they will serve as means to deliver your message.

... The Game

The game is built from its core to offer various modding opportunities, from soft tweaks, like turning features on-off or creating a custom rulebook or a world template for a game, to total conversions, like changing the logic of the game mechanics or AI characters. You don’t have to play the same setup twice.
