What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Crisis Cabinet is being released in Early Access because it is a systems-driven political strategy game that will benefit from real player feedback. The core game is playable, but balance, pacing, event variety, difficulty and long-term replayability are all areas where community input can make the game stronger.

Early Access allows players to help shape the experience before the full release, especially around crisis events, elections, war outcomes, economic pressure, political capital, difficulty settings and the overall feel of leading a country through escalating pressure.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Crisis Cabinet to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months.

This may change depending on player feedback, development progress and the amount of balancing, content expansion and polish needed before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Crisis Cabinet to build on the Early Access release with more content, deeper balancing and additional polish.

Areas we would like to improve during Early Access include expanded crisis events, more policy and budget consequences, improved election and voter-bloc balancing, additional scenario variety, stronger advisor and news feedback, better onboarding, improved UI polish, and deeper late-game challenge.

The Early Access version is intended to provide the core Crisis Cabinet experience: leading a nation through political pressure, economic decisions, public unrest, elections, war and national emergencies. The full version is planned to be a more complete, better-balanced and more replayable version of that experience, shaped by player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Crisis Cabinet includes the core political strategy experience: running a country across multiple terms, managing political capital, balancing budgets, responding to crises, handling public support, unrest and stability, and making difficult decisions during elections, war and national emergencies.

The game is playable and focused on the main decision-making loop, but it is still in active development. Areas such as balance, event variety, onboarding, user interface polish, scenario depth and long-term replayability are expected to improve during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will adjust the price after Early Access as the game grows in content, polish and overall scope.

Our current plan is to keep the Early Access price fair for players who support the game early, while allowing room for a possible price increase if significant new content, features and improvements are added before the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through Steam discussions, player feedback, bug reports, reviews and update posts.

Feedback will be especially useful for balancing difficulty, political capital, crisis frequency, election outcomes, economic pressure, war systems, UI clarity and overall pacing. We want Early Access players to help identify what feels tense, fair, confusing, too easy, too punishing, or most enjoyable, so Crisis Cabinet can become a stronger strategy game over time.”

About This Game

Can you survive the pressure of power?

Crisis Cabinet is a turn-based political strategy simulation where you lead a nation through elections, unrest, scandals, economic pressure, war and national emergencies.

Every turn gives you limited political capital and too many problems to solve. Raise taxes or cut spending. Fund healthcare, defence, policing, welfare, education or infrastructure. Respond to crises before they spiral out of control. Keep the public on side, hold your party together, and watch for the warning signs of unrest, collapse or coup.

Rule through crisis

As leader, you will face a constantly shifting political landscape. Voters have expectations, budgets have limits, and every decision creates consequences. A popular policy may damage the economy. A tough security response may restore order but hurt legitimacy. Ignoring a crisis may save resources now but create a much bigger problem later.

Key features

- Turn-based political strategy across multiple terms in office

- Manage political capital, public support, stability, legitimacy and unrest

- Set national budgets across key government departments

- Respond to crises including scandals, protests, economic shocks and security threats

- Fight elections and balance competing voter groups

- Handle war, diplomacy and national emergencies

- Survive long enough to shape your legacy — or fall from power

Early Access

Crisis Cabinet is launching in Early Access so players can help shape the balance, pacing, scenarios and long-term depth of the game. The core game is focused on political decision-making, crisis management and emergent storytelling, with further improvements planned during development.

A strategy game about consequences

There are no perfect choices. Every policy has a cost. Every crisis has a political price. Every compromise changes the country you are trying to lead.

The question is not just whether you can win power.

The question is whether you can survive it.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some static visual assets used for Crisis Cabinet, including selected marketing/store artwork and some supporting game artwork, were created with assistance from generative AI tools and then reviewed, selected and curated by the developer.

Crisis Cabinet does not use live generative AI during gameplay, and player interactions do not generate AI content in real time.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Crisis Cabinet contains mature political and crisis-management themes, including text-based references to war, civil unrest, coups, terrorism, corruption, economic collapse, public disorder, casualties and national emergencies. Violence is presented through strategy events, reports, news-style summaries and consequences rather than graphic depictions. The game does not contain sexual content, nudity, explicit gore, self-harm, gambling, or real-money in-game purchases.
