About This Game

Can you rediscover everything humanity has ever created?

New Science is an open-ended combination game that takes you from humanity’s earliest discoveries to the Age of Intelligence.

Begin with the simplest objects and ideas. Combine them to create something new, then use those discoveries to unlock inventions, technologies, cultures and concepts from across human history.

Bread and Knife might make Sliced Bread. Sport and Competition might lead to the Olympics. Keep experimenting and you could discover something that no other player in the world has ever found.

Discover more than 25,000 objects

Build a collection spanning 16 ages of history:

Stone Age → Bronze Age → Iron Age → Classical Age → Age of Empires → Renaissance Age → Age of Discovery → Industrial Age → Electrical Age → Modern Age → Atomic Age → Space Age → Digital Age → Smartphone Age → Age of Intelligence

Each age introduces new possibilities and increasingly surprising combinations. Collect enough discoveries to advance through history and open the way to entirely new branches of invention.

Make discoveries nobody else has found

New Science is connected to one shared world of discoveries.

Many combinations are already known, but countless possibilities remain undiscovered. Find a valid new combination before anyone else and your name will be permanently recorded as its original discoverer.

Your experiments do not only complete your own collection. They can expand the game for every player.

Experiment with open-ended combinations

New Science is not restricted to a small, fixed recipe book.

Its AI-powered discovery system interprets the objects you combine and determines what they could logically create. Familiar combinations produce satisfying results, while unusual experiments can lead to discoveries you did not expect.

If a combination makes sense, there is a good chance the game will understand it.

Collect, trade and complete your archive

Every discovery becomes a collectible card with its own illustration and place in the global archive.

Complete your collection, search for missing discoveries and obtain rare foil versions of your favourite cards.

Trade duplicate cards with other players to help complete each other’s collections, or hold on to rare finds that show how far you have travelled through history.

Take part in monthly challenges

Each month introduces a new season with fresh objectives and a new leaderboard.

Race to uncover selected target discoveries, work with your team and compete for permanent seasonal accolades.

Leaderboards reset with each season, giving both new and returning players another opportunity to take part.

Play alone or as part of a community

Progress through history at your own pace, compare collections with other players or join a team and work towards shared objectives.

New Science supports:

  • Single-player discovery and progression

  • Global world-first discoveries

  • Player-to-player card trading

  • Teams and shared discoveries

  • Monthly objectives and leaderboards

  • Cross-platform progression and community features

A continually expanding world of discovery

New Science already contains more than 25,000 discoverable objects, with new world-first combinations continually added through player experimentation.

The complete game includes all 16 ages, the full discovery system, online trading, teams, seasonal challenges and future standard content updates.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

New Science uses generative AI as a core part of its discovery system. When a player attempts a combination, an AI model may be used to determine whether the two selected objects can logically produce a new result. Generative AI is also used to create an illustration for newly discovered objects. Known discoveries are stored and reused, so the same established combination does not need to be generated again for every player. This system allows New Science to support open-ended experimentation beyond a small, completely predefined recipe list. Players may therefore encounter newly generated combinations and images that have not previously been seen by the development team.
