What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Hold The Line is a co-op zombie survival shooter that thrives on community feedback. We chose Early Access because the game's depth — wave balance, weapon feel, co-op flow, and progression systems — can only be truly refined by listening to real players in real sessions.

We have built a solid foundation: a complete core gameplay loop, working 4-player online co-op via Steam, persistent progression, and a polished combat system. But to create the best possible experience, we want our community involved in shaping wave difficulty, new content, weapon balance, and quality-of-life improvements.

Early Access lets us deliver regular updates based on your feedback, add new content (maps, weapons, zombie types, perks) at a sustainable pace, and ensure the final 1.0 release is the version the community actually wants — not just what we imagined alone.

If you enjoy intense co-op survival games and want to be part of shaping one from the ground up, we'd love to have you join us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Hold The Line to remain in Early Access for approximately 8 to 12 months. Our goal is to release version 1.0 once the game has reached a level of content, polish, and stability that we — and our community — can be proud of.

The exact duration will depend on player feedback, the scope of content we add along the way, and how much time is needed to properly balance and polish each new feature. We would rather delay a release than ship an incomplete or unbalanced game.

We are committed to providing regular updates and transparent communication about our progress throughout the Early Access period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our plans for the full release include significant expansion in both content and polish:

CONTENT WE PLAN TO ADD:
• Additional maps with unique layouts and environmental challenges
• New zombie variants with distinct behaviors and combat mechanics
• Expanded weapon arsenal, including new firearms and melee options
• More upgrade paths and player perks
• Boss encounters and special wave events
• Additional progression and unlock systems

SYSTEMS WE PLAN TO IMPROVE:
• Refined wave balance based on player feedback
• Enhanced visual and audio polish
• Steam Achievements and statistics integration
• Improved netcode and matchmaking
• Quality-of-life features requested by the community
• Performance optimization across a wider range of hardware

FEATURES WE ARE CONSIDERING:
• In-game voice chat
• Customizable key bindings
• Additional localization languages
• Modding support

These plans may evolve based on community feedback during Early Access. Our priority is delivering a complete, polished, and enjoyable experience at launch — not rushing features that aren't ready.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Hold The Line is fully playable and feature-complete in its core gameplay loop:

WHAT WORKS NOW:
• Complete single-player campaign with infinite wave progression
• 4-player online co-op via Steam Lobby with friend invites
• Full combat system with firearms, melee weapons, and grenades
• Workbench upgrades for the power core, barricades, and weapons
• Persistent progression with save/load between sessions
• Multiple zombie variants (walkers, runners, tanks)
• Atmospheric abandoned facility environment
• Wave-based survival with escalating difficulty
• Currency, perks, and loadout systems

KNOWN LIMITATIONS:
• Currently one playable map (more planned during Early Access)
• Limited weapon variety compared to our planned full arsenal
• Some balance tuning is ongoing
• Minor bugs may occur and will be addressed in regular updates

The game offers a solid, replayable experience right now and is ready for players who want to enjoy co-op zombie survival while helping us shape its future.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price of Hold The Line as we add more content, features, and polish throughout Early Access. Players who purchase the game during Early Access will receive the lowest price and will own the full 1.0 release at no additional cost.

This pricing approach reflects the growing value of the game as it develops, while rewarding our earliest supporters who took a chance on us before the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is at the heart of our development process. We plan to engage with players through:

• STEAM COMMUNITY HUB: Active participation in discussions, bug reports, and feature requests. We will read and respond to player feedback regularly.

• DEVELOPMENT UPDATES: Regular update posts explaining what we are working on, what is coming next, and why we are making certain decisions.

• PLAYER POLLS: Community voting on upcoming features, balance changes, and content priorities to help guide our roadmap.

• PUBLIC ROADMAP: A transparent overview of planned features and improvements, updated regularly based on community input.

• BETA TESTING: Opportunities for engaged community members to test new features and content before public release.

Your feedback will directly shape Hold The Line. Whether it's a bug report, a balance suggestion, or an idea for new content, we want to hear it. The strongest co-op games are built together with their players, and we're committed to making that happen.”

About This Game

The outbreak swept the world in days. Cities burned. Governments fell.

Now, in the ruins of an abandoned research facility, a single power  core hums in the dark — broadcasting a rescue signal that's keeping you alive.

If it falls, the perimeter fails. The horde floods in. And your signal goes silent.

Welcome to Hold The Line — a brutal co-op zombie survival FPS where 1–4 players defend the facility's power core against escalating waves of the undead. Every wave, the horde grows. Every wave, you grow stronger. Hold long enough, and rescue might just come.

🩸 PROTECT THE CORE

The reactor at the heart of the facility powers everything — your lights, your defenses, and the signal calling for help. If it dies, you die. Reinforce its barricades, repair the damage, and upgrade its hull to survive longer.

🧟 SURVIVE THE HORDE

Face relentless waves of the undead. Shamblers test your defenses. Sprinting runners flank your position. Massive tanks tear through barricades like paper. The longer you survive, the deadlier they get.

🛠 BUILD & UPGRADE

Earn currency from every kill. Spend it at the workbench between  waves: upgrade the core's health, buy better weapons, restock  ammunition, or unlock powerful perks that match your playstyle.

🤝 4-PLAYER ONLINE CO-OP

Team up with friends via Steam. Share kills, revive downed teammates, and coordinate your defense — because the horde doesn't care if you're alone or together. They just keep coming.

⚔️ BRUTAL ARSENAL

From baseball bats to assault rifles, from fragmentation grenades to fire axes — wield a deadly arsenal built for one purpose: survival.  Every shot counts. Every reload matters.

🏚 THE ABANDONED FACILITY

Explore a decaying industrial complex filled with secrets, supply  caches, and lurking horrors. Find new weapons, ammo crates, and hidden  perks scattered across the wreckage of civilization.

⏳ HOW LONG CAN YOU HOLD?

Every run pushes you further. Every wave teaches you something new. Your progress saves between sessions — build the ultimate loadout, unlock every perk, and climb the leaderboards.

The dead don't sleep. The dead don't tire. The dead don't stop.

Can you?

HOLD THE LINE.
