About This Game

Under New Management

100 years ago, the talented and the wealthy abandoned Earth and escaped to Mars.

All that remains is ‘New Earth’s New York,’ a decaying city that has been sealed for the past century. Nobody gets in or out. Crime families have taken charge, each running their own boroughs as they see fit.

It’s an Unforgiving Business

In the backroom of a speakeasy, you work for one of these families. Debtors come to pay what they owe, and you inspect the cash they bring. Real money goes to the vault. Counterfeit gets caught, or you’ll answer for it.

Everything seems cut and dry until the travel ban between Earth and Mars is suddenly lifted. On ‘Day 11’ you’ll find yourself dealing with a new currency, and this one can be tricky.

You’ve been equipped with several tools to help you make the correct distinction:

  • Your notebook - Serves as a reference guide for what genuine bills should look like.

  • The scanner - Scans currency and displays the selected scan for closer inspection

  • The UV plate - Used to see features undetectable in regular daylight.

  • The lamp -  Use lamp light to spot bill patterns that only shine in its glow.

  • The ledger - Displays the identity of the person whose bills you are inspecting as well as how much they’ve declared for inspection.

Remember, lying is a survival skill, and your clients will do anything to avoid danger.

How Far Will You Go For The Ones You Love

In New Earth’s New York, the city lights still shine, but these days there aren’t many people left to see them. Works hard to come by, and money is even more scarce. When tragedy strikes, and someone you love is strapped for cash, you bargain with a crime family for help. Now, you’ll be scanning bills until you pay every cent back.

The money you're scanning comes from your fellow New Yorkers working to pay back their own debts. Every morning, you sit down and decide who walks out clean and who gets ruined. The choices you make in-game will determine the story you experience. For some storylines, even one change could alter your ending. You have 31 days to navigate this world and escape

Between shifts, you’re free to leave your desk and socialize. Stroll through the speakeasy to gather rumors and chat with patrons for useful intel.
