About This Game

EVERY EMPIRE BEGINS WITH A SINGLE CONQUEST

Imperium Warbands is a real-time strategy game that draws from the golden age of classic RTS and rebuilds it with modern technology. It drops you into unique, ever-changing worlds, generated dynamically, where 18 ancient civilizations fight for dominance across living battlefields: hostile wildlife, shifting weather, and settlements waiting to be conquered.

Every map is born with villages, cities, and fortresses already standing. Your mission is to march your armies to the front, break the enemy's loyalty, and claim their land. When a settlement falls, everything inside it becomes yours. That's how empires grow: one conquest at a time.

18 CIVILIZATIONS. ONE ANCIENT WORLD.

Command 18 factions spanning four continents and thousands of years of history:
Europe & Mediterranean — Rome, Hispania, Greece, Sparta, Gaul, Germania, Britannia, Celts, Vikings, Byzantium
Africa & Middle East — Egypt, Carthage, Persia
Asia — Mongolia, China, Japan
The Americas — Inca, Maya
Each civilization brings exclusive units, its own architecture, historical and legendary heroes, its unique siege engine, special abilities, and a home biome where it thrives. The faction you choose defines not just how you fight, but where.

WORLDS THAT NEVER REPEAT

Every match generates a unique world. Terrain, rivers, coastlines, settlements, and wildlife are placed procedurally — no two games are alike.
Multiple map archetypes — continents, archipelagos, river valleys, coastal frontiers, highlands, island chains, deltas, and plateaus — change how empires expand and where the decisive battles are fought.
Ten biomes — plains, steppe, forest, desert, jungle, mountain, hills, swamp, snow tundra, and coast — shape movement and decide which wildlife stalks the land.
A full day/night cycle with biome-driven weather — rain, snow, storms, and fog — turns the battlefield into something that changes while you fight on it.

CONQUER TO GROW

Imperium Warbands trades the traditional RTS economy for something more aggressive: territorial expansion. Your gold, food, and population rise automatically based on the settlements you control — cities yield more than villages. No gatherers, no resource nodes. If you want more, you take it.
Trade caravans physically travel between your villages and cities, carrying visible cargo along routes drawn on your map — but beware: bandits and raiders roam the roads, and an unescorted caravan is easy prey. Settler caravans move population between settlements, letting you grow a city at the expense of a village.

HISTORICAL HEROES

Dozens of unique heroes lead your armies, each commanding their own squad in tight formation. Heroes are no menu icons — they walk the field, take damage, and die permanently if you fail to protect them. While they live, they lift the morale of nearby troops. When they fall, the relics they carried drop to the ground for anyone to claim.
Relics are found in ruins, bandit camps, and guarded sanctuaries of escalating difficulty. Only heroes carry them, only a few at a time, and the bonuses they grant make every hero a high-value target. Kill the hero, take the relic, turn the war.

SIEGE, STORM, AND BREAK

Cities and villages are defended by walls, gates, and towers from which the fiercest archers punish anyone who draws near. To break in, you need real siege warfare: build your faction's siege engine in the field with your own soldiers and grind down the defenses. Walls take visible damage, gates can be sealed or forced, and towers rain projectiles until they fall or are captured. Every siege is a tactical decision.

A LIVING, HOSTILE WORLD

The map is a third enemy. Two dozen animal species roam with lives of their own: wolf packs hunt led by their alpha, bears defend their territory, mammoths cross the tundra, tigers stalk the jungle, crocodiles wait in the swamp, sharks patrol the deep, and prey flees from predators. Hunting wildlife rewards you with food and experience — ignoring it can cost you soldiers mid-march.
Villages teem with civilians who walk, talk, and flee when fighting erupts — making every settlement feel worth conquering... and worth defending.

NAVAL WARFARE

On maps with navigable seas — islands, archipelagos, coasts, and great rivers — water matters as much as land. Capture coastal ports to build warships, load galleons with troops, and open new fronts across the sea. Battles on the open ocean await. But the sea shows no mercy: sharks hunt the deep, and destroyed ships sink with their entire crew. Nature spares no one.

TACTICAL COMBAT

Combat runs on an advanced system: units pursue, engage, reposition, and rout, scanning for threats instead of reacting passively.
Formations follow the conquest-RTS tradition: each hero leads a squad in tight arrangement. Switch formations instantly to adapt your strategy and lead your troops to victory.
Morale isn't binary: demoralized units don't flee — fleeing is for the weak — but they fight slower and weaker, recovering near heroes and in friendly territory.
A full damage system — armor, penetration, evasion, critical hits, and slashing, blunt, and piercing damage — ensures that composition and positioning always beat raw numbers.
