About This Software

LiveWall for Mac is a live wallpaper engine built natively for macOS. Set animated, interactive, or video wallpapers that run seamlessly behind your desktop icons — without slowing your system down.

Three wallpaper types supported

  • Web — HTML/CSS/JavaScript wallpapers with full browser rendering. Supports interactive mouse and click input.

  • Video — Looping MP4, MOV, WebM, and M4V files with adjustable volume and scaling modes.

  • Image — Static or animated images including GIF, PNG, JPEG, and WebP.

Works with your existing web wallpapers on WindowsOS.

LiveWall reads standard web wallpaper project folders out of the box. Just point it at your existing wallpaper library and everything loads automatically.

Audio visualization Wallpapers that support audio processing receive a real-time audio spectrum from your system sound - making music-reactive wallpapers work out of the box.

Per-wallpaper customization Each wallpaper can expose its own settings: sliders, toggles, color pickers, dropdowns, and file pickers. Save and recall named profiles for any wallpaper.

Smart power management Wallpapers automatically pause when a fullscreen app is active, when the screen locks, when displays sleep, or when you're on battery - keeping your Mac fast when it matters.

Multi-monitor support Wallpapers span every connected display, with synchronized playback across mirrored screens.

    • Storage: 200 MB available space
    • Sound Card: Built-in audio (required for audio visualization feature)
    • Additional Notes: System audio permission required to use the audio spectrum visualization feature. ScreenCaptureKit permission may be requested on first launch.
