“Whilst our MMO football management game, 90 Minute Fever is still being developed, it currently has a stable and complete enough core that many people are able to thoroughly enjoy playing for hours each and every day. “90 Minute Fever will likely become Free-to-Play when the game comes out of Early Access. The game will always remain skill-based and we plan to keep the core game play experience available for users to enjoy for free. Additional game play elements will be added and monetized in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“90MF has been available on Steam Early Access since June 2016. During this time we have been working closely with our user community and gathering their feedback and input to help the game improve and evolve.

Users are able to provide us with suggestions and feedback through the forum or via use of a feedback tool that exists within our game client. We also gather feedback from survey questions that are available for users to answer directly from within the game client. We release regular podcasts explaining and discussing in detail upcoming changes to the game and why those changes are being made. We run a monthly live twitch.tv stream that involves a season roundup and a fun quiz that has been well received by our community. We also have a small army of volunteer community helpers who are always available to help and answer any questions that users have.”

New Transfer System

Update v0.5.0 [2018-07-31]

New Transfer System:
  • For details see the pinned Steam Discussions posts titled 'New Transfers System Q&A' and 'Removal of Cheating and Reborn Legends'

Player Profile Changes:
  • Career International Caps & Goals information appears on Personal Details widget
  • Player profile transfer/contract details widgets updated
    and combined into a single widget
  • Wages are now displayed in monthly amounts rather than daily (which was causing too much confusion for some users when different months have differing number of days resulting in variations in the daily wage amounts from one month to the next), although they are still paid daily
  • International Stats row on Season Stats widget no longer resets during a season if a player is transferred

National Teams:
  • National Team auctions widget now includes a column for recent performance of Nations (last 3 seasons) in official matches
  • Flags and colour schemes added for Cameroon, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Kosovo, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru and South Korea
  • Israel added as an available nation to manage
  • Home colour scheme for Bulgaria updated to have a darker shade of green (commentary was too difficult to read with the lighter shade of green)

New Widgets:
  • New widget on the home layout that shows shortlisted players in the transfer pool

  • Server side player search engine rebuilt from scratch resulting in many bugs being fixed with the player search

  • Limit to the number of conditions that can be used in each search (20 conditions)
  • Limit to the number of players a user can have on their shortlist (500 players shortlisted)

Staff Search Updates:

Match Engine Changes:
  • Minor updates to the player rating /10 system (that should result in a very slight boost for GK's and defenders ratings)
  • Fixes and some additions to the Match Commentary
  • Minor balancing changes
  • Less straight Red cards being issued
  • Less Yellow cards being issued (when a warning wasn't previously given to a player)
  • More warnings being issued to players
  • Tackling slider setting now has slightly more impact on the amount of injuries sustained to your own players (i.e. aggressive = more injuries than before, cautious = less injuries than before)

Other Changes and Bug Fixes:
  • Default layouts updated (public chat now not on main tab by default - users will need to manually add it if they want it there)
  • Many updates to the library of pre-match tips
  • 15 year old Youth Players are now known throughout the client as being Academy Players (to avoid potential confusion between 15 year old Youth Players who cannot play in Youth competitions that are for players aged between 16 and 21 years old)
  • Wording on many pop-up messages improved
  • Fixed a bug with staff where it would incorrectly show the Contract Release and Bid pop-up when attempting to bid for a staff member the user didn't already have under contract if they already had another staff member under contract of the same role
  • Fixed a bug where some player names might end in a space (which resulted in double spaces coming through in the match commentary)
  • Fixed a rare bug where a user might have duplicate shareholder dividend payments in their projected transactions

Removed Things:
  • Old transfer system removed
  • Reborn Legends removed
  • CSV export functionality removed
  • ELO ratings removed
  • Some top 20 lists removed (e.g. elo rating and stuff relating to old tranfer system, and widgets that contained irrelevant information (i.e. number of online hours)
  • Various free text widgets on club profile have been removed
  • Various widgets to do with the old transfer system have been updated or removed for the new transfer system
  • All saved layouts removed due to compatibility issues surrounding the many changed/removed/added widgets/layouts/tabs/etc throughout the game client

  • Transfer Budget Removed from the game as a concept
  • To buy a player you must have enough current bank balance to afford the buy price & signing fee, and your projected bank balance must also be able to cover the incoming players wages
  • Fixed some competition names appearing with incorrect capitalisation and underscores in the live matches widget
  • The amount a user paid to buy a player is now included in the mail message notifications sent out to other users that shortlisted the player
  • The amount a user paid to buy a player is now shown on the player profiles

Update v0.5.0b [2018-08-08]

  • Fixed a bug that some players wages or values could be calculated incorrectly (too high). Particularly impacted many Free Agent players. Any users who were impacted by this (primarily via signing Free Agent players whose value subsequently decreased after they purchased them) have been reimbursed an amount equal to the loss in negative value difference plus the difference in wages that are also too high for the current season due to the values being too high at the time these players were purchased. Any impacted users will be able to see the amount they have been credited back in their Finances > Transaction tab with the record listed as being of type ADJUSTMENT. The players you own that have been significantly impacted by this can relatively easily spotted out as being the players who you've purchased during this month and whose wage demand for next season is significantly higher than their wage demand for the current season. The few Academy that have been purchased were also significantly impacted by this same issue and those users have also been reimbursed the value differences.
  • Fixed a bug that could result in some player names having the ? character appear in them in place of another character
  • Renamed any players already in the game that contained a ? character in their name, to have a new name of the same nationality
  • Fixed a bug that made it possible for some players monthly renewal wages to be slightly below the minimum monthly wages of £30k
