What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Riddim Rabbit is already playable and the core rhythm gameplay is in place, but there is still a lot we want to add, improve, and polish before we consider the game finished.

Early Access gives us a chance to build on that foundation while hearing directly from the people playing the game. We’re a small Caribbean development team, and Riddim Rabbit is both our first commercial release and something we care deeply about getting right. We want to make a great rhythm game while also introducing more players around the world to steelpan and Caribbean culture.

Player feedback during Early Access will help us understand what is working well, what needs improvement, and where our development time is best spent as the game grows.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Riddim Rabbit to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months.

That may change depending on development and the feedback we receive. We don’t want to commit to a specific full-release date before we’re confident the game has reached the level of content and polish we’re aiming for.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to be a significantly larger and more polished game.

During Early Access, we plan to expand the game with more music and stages, character customization, additional progression and scoring features, gameplay improvements, and general polish.

We also want to continue improving difficulty balancing, accessibility, performance, and quality-of-life features based on how people actually play the game.

Our plans may evolve as we receive feedback during Early Access, but our overall goal is to substantially expand both the amount of content and the depth of the experience before the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is playable and contains the core Riddim Rabbit rhythm-game experience.

Players can currently play the available songs across multiple difficulty levels and experience three stages, with the core rhythm mechanics and steelpan-focused presentation already in place.

The game is still relatively small compared with what we have planned for the full version. Features such as character customization and expanded progression and scoring systems are not yet available, and the existing content will continue to receive balancing, optimization, polish, and quality-of-life improvements throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Riddim Rabbit is currently priced at $7.99 USD during Early Access.

We currently plan to increase the price to $24.99 USD when the game reaches its full release, reflecting the additional content, features, and overall expansion of the game during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to have a meaningful role in helping us improve Riddim Rabbit throughout Early Access.

We’ll be listening to feedback through Steam discussions and reviews, as well as our social channels. We’re especially interested in hearing what players think about difficulty and rhythm balancing, accessibility, performance, song and content preferences, and quality-of-life improvements.

As a small team, being able to hear directly from players is incredibly useful. We’ll use that feedback alongside our own plans for the game to help us decide what needs the most attention as we work toward the full release.”
