A UNIQUE TURN-BASED RPG COMBAT SYSTEM

Every turn in Crown Control is built around cards, positioning, and party roles. Battles play out on an isometric grid where range matters, chokepoints matter, and even the biggest enemies can occupy multiple cells. Hold the line with a knight, flank with a thief, freeze space with a mage, or fill the board with followers while your party fights for control of the battlefield.

Cards come in 8 types: Attacks, Skills, Summons, Powers, Traps, Terrain, Afflictions, and Curses. Attacks deal direct, multi-hit, area, and over time damages. Skills and Powers cover defense, healing, buffs, debuffs, and lasting effects. Summons place fully playable units on the battlefield, with their own cards, effects, and passives. Traps stay hidden until they trigger or counter an action. Terrain reshapes part or all of the battlefield. Afflictions and Curses are the negative side of the system, disrupting battles and lingering across the run.

Each hero also brings a Hero Ability, different specialization paths, and Ultimates that can swing an entire fight. Frost control, poison, blood magic, healing, stealth, traps, summons, support, burst damage, and battlefield denial all open very different ways to play. New cards, relics, and upgrades earned during the run keep reshaping your build from one battle to the next.

A KINGDOM OF PERIL

Every run unfolds across 5 chapters of 5 acts each. The road leads through Occida, Meridia, Oria, Septa, and finally the Crown's own heartland. Each act ends with an Epic-rank monster, and each chapter culminates in a regional boss. You can leave after Act 3 with your rewards, or push deeper into Acts 4 and 5 for harder fights, rarer relics, extra quests, and greater rewards.

Your route is filled with battles, encounters, quests, merchants, rest sites, chests, elites, secrets, and bosses. Victories and encounters feed your run with XP, card rewards, relics, equipment, potions, and gold, while level ups strengthen Hero Abilities, grow specializations, and unlock or upgrade Ultimates. Every stop on the map can change the shape of the run.

Encounters are a major part of the adventure. Each hero carries two alignments: morality, which can be good, neutral, or bad, and order, which can be ordered, neutral, or chaotic. These alignments influence how certain encounters resolve, how risky they are, and what rewards may appear. When outcomes can branch, the possible odds are shown before you choose. Most encounter choices are individual to each character. If an encounter affects the whole group in co-op, the decision is made by vote.

The kingdom fights back with 50+ enemy types spread across very different factions, creatures, and regional threats. You will face soldiers, cultists, undead, corrupted mages, humanoids, monsters, abominations, pirates, trolls, and more, each with their own ranges, afflictions, passives, summons, and battlefield roles. This variety keeps combat fresh from the first acts to the final stretch of a run.

RETURN TO THE BREACH

The Breach is your home between runs. Equip weapons, hats, boots, and badges earned through previous achievements, choose hero, role, or regional quests, and prepare for the next expedition. You begin with 9 heroes, each with a unique class: Knight, Archer, Thief, White Mage, Priestess of Omniscient Light, Puppeteer, Arcanist, Blue Mage, and Blood Disciple. You can unlock 12 more heroes and their classes as you progress.

Player progression and class progression keep expanding your options between runs. Gain souls to strengthen long-term bonuses, raise each class to unlock new cards and stronger archetypes, and use shards and card fragments to improve your collection, decraft extras, and craft the cards you are missing. Hero quests, role quests, regional quests, achievements, and hidden secrets add story scenes, cinematics, cards, relics, badges, and other unlockables for future runs.

SOLO HERO OR PARTY UP TO 4

Crown Control is fully playable as a solo adventure or in online co-op with up to 4 players, and it is balanced for 1 to 4 heroes. Go in alone as a sword wielder facing the kingdom's abominations, pair a healer with a tank for tighter control, or fill the board with summoned allies and layered support. The game is built to support different party sizes, roles, and playstyles.
