About This Software

Textvas is a note-taking app that lets you place text and images freely on a board.
From brainstorming ideas to game walkthrough notes, it suits any purpose. Even the developer uses it to manage Textvas's own development.
Just double-click to start writing instantly, and paste both text and images straight from the clipboard.
It was created out of frustration with the poor visibility and cloud dependency of existing apps.

・Free Placement

Place text and images anywhere you like on the board.
Double-click to start typing, and paste images and text from the clipboard.
You can also drag items to reposition them after placing.

・Tab and Folder Management

Manage multiple boards using tabs, and organize them into folders.
Tabs can be duplicated and rearranged, allowing you to organize them by purpose.

・Highly Customizable UI

Includes built-in themes such as Dark, Monochrome, Sakura, and Notebook.
You can freely choose from any font installed on your PC, and adjust its size as well.
Customize the appearance to match your work style or personal preference.

・UI Scale and Zoom

The UI size can be adjusted between 100% and 200%. Board zoom is controlled separately.
From 4K monitors to small laptops, the display can be adjusted appropriately for any screen size.

・Export Function

You can export completed boards as images (png) or text (txt).
Exporting and importing settings themselves is also supported.

・Touch Panel Support

Supports swiping and pinch in/out gestures. You can use zoom, move, and scroll operations.
Touch operations with your fingers are also possible on tablet PCs and touch-enabled monitors.

・External Device Launch Support

Projects are saved with the original .txv extension.
By registering a project to an external device, you can open it instantly.
An icon is included.

・Set Any Image as Background

You can set your favorite image as the board's background.
Game characters, your own illustrations, or anything else you choose.

・Multilingual Support

Supports 29 languages (UI only).
Switch languages from within the app's settings.

・Local Operation / DRM-Free

The app runs entirely locally, and project data is saved on your PC.
Since it is distributed DRM-free, you can use it even when Steam is not running.

・Search Function

You can search for text within a board. Even from long passages or content scattered across multiple cards,
you can quickly find what you're looking for.

・Text Decoration

Supports formatting options such as text color, underline, borders, and alignment.

・Card Connections

You can connect placed text and image cards to each other with arrows.

・Auto-Save / Timestamped Backup

Auto-saves at specified intervals. Up to 50 timestamped history entries are retained,
allowing you to revert to previous states.

・Auto-Numbering / Auto Timestamps

Sequential numbers and timestamps can be added to board names automatically. Manual changes are also possible later.

・Notes and Icons

You can add notes onto boards. Preset icons can also be placed on the board.

・Full Screen Mode / Always on Top

Shortcut keys allow you to hide the top tabs and side panels.
The button in the upper right pins the window to the front.

You can load another project file and merge it with your current board.

Manage content divided by chapters or scenes. Numbers can be reassigned with the auto-numbering feature.
