About This Game

The Foundation funded you. Now you owe them.

Offworlders Galactic Ventures is a top-down space trading and combat game about running a small corporation through the slow squeeze of frontier life. The Cryos Foundation advanced you the credits to buy your first ship. They want to be paid back. They run the visibility ledger that watches every shipment, every contract, every standing shift. They run the Anniversary Hour broadcasts that play in every dock you fly through. They have four ways this loan can end. Three are deals. One is a default. You'll know which one is yours by Cycle 30, and the world will speak to you differently from then on.

A working frontier, not a frontier fantasy

Three sectors. Thirty stations. Hearthwake Anchor where you started. Cinderfall Foundry where they smelt scrap into alloy. Brackenhalt Pharmacopoeia where Aster keeps the medical reagents that don't get sold to non-clients. Slagcourt Refineries where the Rust Jackals know your transponder by sight. Twenty-five-plus tradable commodities, each with a category, a price floor, and a story about who buys it and why. Four factions with full standing arcs - Frontier Allegiance, Sable Syndicate, Cinder Industrial Trust, Aster Medical Concord - each willing to pay you, none willing to forget you.

Trade, mine, fight, carry

  • Run cargo for the Frontier Allegiance and watch your standing climb, contract by contract.
  • Take Backchannel work from the Sable Listener and watch your visibility climb instead.
  • Mine asteroids in the Cinder fields. Recover wrecks left by pilots who got it wrong. Turn dead ships into resale credits.
  • Fight pirates with seven weapon families across eleven hulls. Lose a pilot and start over with the same company, the same debts, and a wreck floating where you went down.
  • Buy a second ship. Park it in the home hangar. Stash gear in the cache. Send a courier to bring it where you need it.
  • Run the local jump drive to cross sectors, the gates to cross systems, and learn which lanes the patrols actually patrol.

Your ship is your business

Eleven hulls across four classes - Surveyor, Courier, Pathfinder, Bulwark - each with distinct hardpoint geometry, equipment slots, and mastery rewards. Mount weapons. Install equipment. Buy a second ship and a third. Park them in the home hangar at Hearthwake Anchor and learn what passive repair feels like when you can finally afford it.

Sim or Pilot - your call, every run

Every sortie can run as a deterministic Sim - engagement modal, dice, market cycle, twenty seconds - or as a hands-on Pilot run with full real-time canvas combat, asteroid mining, salvage, traders flagging you down, and rescue beacons across open lanes. Same world. Same economy. Same stakes. Different commitment. Both modes are first-class.

Letters arrive

Nine recurring contacts track what you do - Halsen Vey, Mira Tessen, Thoren Kesh, Lt. Pallin, S., Dr. Vell, and others. They write you when something happens. They ask favors only you can answer. The favors aren't side quests; they're the way the world tells you it's been paying attention. After the Foundation Loan resolves, the letters keep coming. The voice changes depending on which ending was yours.

The Anniversary Hour

Once a cycle, in every dock, the Cryos Foundation broadcasts a song. The singer is famous. The lyrics drift, slowly, over many cycles, in a direction you'll eventually notice. There's a version of this game where you stop listening. There's a version where you can't.
