Why Early Access?

“Textvas is a personal tool I built to address the frustrations I've encountered in my own daily creative work, one by one. The core features are all in place and working at a practical level, but everyone uses tools differently. I chose to launch in Early Access because I want to gather feedback from a variety of environments and use cases, and use that to shape the tool into something that works well for more people.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“I'm aiming for within one year, but since this is a solo project developed alongside my personal life, I don't have a fixed release date for the full version. The timeline may shift depending on user feedback and development progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already includes the core features: free-form board layout, tab and folder organization, touchscreen support, and multilingual support. For the full version, I plan to add new features, improve UX, and enhance performance based on user requests and real-world usage. That said, these are current plans and are subject to change in scope or order.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All features described on the Steam store page and help page are implemented. The app runs stably under normal usage conditions. The current version is 0.9.0. Testing across various environments, use cases, and languages is ongoing.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase at the time of the official release. Purchasing during Early Access will get you the better deal.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“You're welcome to submit bug reports, feature requests, and general feedback through Steam's community forums and discussion boards. Because this is a solo project, one of its strengths is that your feedback can be reflected in development directly. I'll carefully work through additions and improvements based on what I hear from you.”

About This Software

Textvas is a note-taking app that lets you place text and images on a board. From brainstorming to game strategy notes, it works for any purpose. Even the developer uses it to manage Textvas's own development.
Start writing right away with a double-click, and paste both text and images directly from the clipboard.
Built out of frustration with the poor visibility of existing apps and their reliance on the cloud.

・Free Placement


Place text and images anywhere on the board.
Double-click to start typing, and paste images and text from the clipboard.
You can drag items to move them after placement as well.

・Tab and Folder Management


Manage multiple boards with tabs and organize them into folders.
Tabs can be duplicated and rearranged, allowing you to organize them by purpose.

・UI Scale and Zoom


UI size can be adjusted from 100% to 200%. Board zoom is controlled separately.
From 4K monitors to small laptops, you can adjust appropriately based on your screen size.

・Highly Customizable UI


Built-in basic themes such as Dark, Monochrome, Sakura, and Notebook.
Freely select fonts from those installed on your PC, with adjustable sizes.
Customize the appearance to match your work style and preferences.

・Touch Panel Support


Supports swipe and pinch in/out gestures. Operations such as zoom, pan, and scroll are available.
Touch operations work on tablet PCs and touch-compatible monitors with your fingers.

・External Device Execution Support


Save projects with the proprietary .txv file extension.
Register projects on external devices to open them instantly.
An icon is included.

Set your favorite image as the board's background.
Game characters, your own illustrations — anything you like.

The application runs locally, and project data is stored on your PC.
Distributed DRM-free, so it can be used even when Steam is not running.

Search text within boards. You can quickly find what you're looking for, even from long passages or content scattered across multiple cards.

・Text Formatting

Supports formatting options such as text color, underline, borders, and alignment.

・Card Connections

Connect placed text and image cards to each other with arrows.

・Auto-Save / Timestamped Backups

Auto-saves at specified intervals. Keeps up to 50 timestamped history entries, allowing you to revert to previous states.

・Automatic Sequential Numbering / Timestamps

Automatically add sequential numbers or timestamps to board names. Manual changes are possible afterward.

・Notes and Icons

Add notes on the board. You can also place preset icons on the board.

・Full-Screen Mode / Always on Top

Use shortcut keys to hide the top tabs and side panels.
You can pin the window to stay on top using the button in the upper right.

・Export

Export completed boards as images (png) or text (txt).
Settings themselves can also be exported.

・Board Merging

Load another project file and merge it with the current board.
